As my baby grew into a toddler, I found it much more difficult to take her temperature with the forehead scanning thermometer we had because she would move too much to get a good reading. Set up on the app was very easy and took less than 5 minutes to create profiles for our 3 family members. Taking my daughter's temperature took about 2 seconds which is great for a squI'my 3 year old. I found the temperature to be accurate and also took mine and my husband's to make sure. It is very simple and easy to use. The app also has a bunch of helpful advice on how to help if you are sick. Being able to track temperatures for Doctor's visits will also be an advantage. Hopefully we don't get sick anytime soon, but if we do this thermometer will be a big help!”

“Whenever my toddler son would get a fever I would dread taking his temperature, since the underarm thermometers that we had previously would take more than 30 seconds to get a reading. During those 30 seconds he would scream, try to rip the thermometer away, or wiggle out of my hold before I could get a reading. These are some of the reasons why I was so excited to try out the Kinsa Smart Ear Thermometer that we received from the weeSpring Parent Panel. It really does only take a couple seconds to get an accurate reading which solves all of the previous problems we once had. My son even fI'ds it fun to take our temperatures now which has made him more calm when we need to take his. We found that after taking multiple temperatures the thermometer was accurate within .2 degrees each time. The app is amazing too, it is extremely user friendly and automatically records every temperature you take from the thermometer. I love that I am able to add all our family members on the app and keep track of each of their temperatures. It also remI'ds you when each person needs to take their next dose of medicine when they're sick. I'm due with our next baby soon and I'm not dreading taking temperatures anymore!”
“When your baby is sick, you want to be able to get an accurate temperature reading for them. We have gone through several types thermometers trying to fI'd one that is accurate while also being quick easy to use. Let?s be honest, it's hard to keep a kid still and to keep their mouth closed long enough for an accurate reading using an oral thermometer. Finally, the Kinsa thermometer takes care of that with a super quick ear read! What makes it even better is that you don't have to fumble with a probe. Just take the cover off, do a quick wipe down of the thermometer, put it to the feverish kid?s ear and Boom, you?ve got a temperature reading. It literally takes that much time- it's so fast that my baby who usually wants nothing to do with anything near his ear (usually we?re trying to hold him down), doesn't even have time to fight it. Once you're done, you clean off the tip and replace the cap. The cap is kI'd of small, but it does fit'securely. It would be cool, if it came with a storage case or bag or something, but it's not a dealbreaker for me. I just keep it in a little Tupperware container with my basic fever/ pain reducing meds. The app is awesome and so user friendly with prompts to help you to know what to do next. I love that you can create a profile for each family member, it'stores their info. This is so helpful for me because I'm the past, I would have to write down times (busy mom of four here, I can never remember what times I took temps or gave meds). This app makes it'sooooo easy! No more writing things down for each kid (think when more than one kid is sick- lifesaver). Another awesome thing- you can check off symptoms, add times for meds and set a remI'der for when the next dosage is due. it'seriously is so helpful at a time when you're already stressed about having to care for your sick kid(s). Your energies can be focused there instead of trying to remember everything. Also, it's so easy to show your pediatrician should you have to take your kid in. I can finally end my search for a thermometer.
Kinsa does recommend to get accurate readings to take temp readings twice a day (morning and night) while well. Then when sick, to take the temp three times in same ear and take the highest reading especI'lly if you are unfamiliar with the thermometer or you are using it in a chI'd under three with a compromised I'mune system. This will help in getting an accurate temp for you or your chI'd when you most need it.
