“I received the Kinsa Smart Ear Thermometer through the Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest review. The thermometer is easy to hold and feels comfortable in my hand. I do feel that the probe is a little big. They recommend gently pulling the top of the ear back in order to get the probe in the ear for an accurate temp but I still worry if it is getting far enough into those little ears. I love that there is an app where you can add each family member and track their temperatures. This is so helpful when trying to remember temperatures at a doctor's appointment after a sleepless night and especially if more than 1 family member was sick! It also tracks symptoms and provides recommendations for calling or going to the doctor. I would recommend this thermometer to anyone!”

We like the thermometer because the time readings were quick and accurate. The best part of the thermometer was using it with the app and being able to log temps under specific kids. We have five children so this will be helpful when they may be all sick or more than one person is sick.

“I received this thermometer from Stellar Panel to try with my kids. Overall I absolutely love it. It gives very quick and accurate readings. My favorite feature is that you can use it with or without the app and "fancy" features. BUT you will love the features on the app. The reading with trigger age specific advice, care tips and when to call the doctor. As a nurse, I think that advice with be great to help with first time parents are parents without a lot of healthcare knowledge and it was spot-on! If I was being super critical, I'd be curious to see how the ear piece works with little newborns, as it seems some wheat big. But I would still 100% recommend this to any parent/ caregiver.”

“I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and am thrilled that I did. This is by far the most accurate thermometer I've used with my young kids. There is also a really great app that allows me to track each person's temperature separately and organized over time. It also gives great information about what the rate of illness is nearby where you live. I really wish I had this thermometer a year ago to make regular checks through the last year with Covid-19 so much easier than they were for our family. “This thermometer and app combo is a sleep-deprived-parent-of-sick-kids dream come true. The app is everything I've ever wanted in an app to help me track an illness in my kids. I've always used paper in the past to track temperatures and meds, but this app makes it incredibly quick and easy to track symptoms as well. My youngest got a mild upper respiratory virus a few days after I received the Kinsa Smart Ear Thermometer, and I was able to confidently ditch my paper and pen notes and rely on the app to track temps, symptoms and meds. The ability to set reminders was really helpful as well. The app even suggested when to call the doctor and when a visit was recommended based on temps and symptoms. This is a five star user friendly, attractive, and bug-free app. I'm pretty tech savvy, but you absolutely do not need to be in order to use them. It is very user friendly. It even tracks Covid risk in your area.
The thermometer reads quickly, and I love that it doesn't create plastic waste (or extra cost!) with those disposable covers our other ear thermometers use. It's amazing that it seamlessly syncs the temp reading into the app! If I could give it six stars, I would! I love it so much that I'll add one to every baby shower gift I give going forward.

“I was given this ear thermometer to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The thermometer is quite stylish and clearly well constructed. There was a large print card in the box advising me to download the app, which I immediately did. The app and thermometer were both easy to get up and running.
The app has some great features and is very easy to use and pair to the thermometer. My daughter enjoyed picking a unicorn avatar. I love the feature that allows you to track temperature readings over the long term to establish a baseline. I also appreciate that the app will give you basic treatment guidelines if it detects a fever; a really handy backup for a worried parent at 4am.
I will say that you absolutely have to read the instruction manual from front to back. After initially only getting faulty readings, we followed the cleaning instructions and also followed the directions to pull the ear up and insert the thermometer quite snugly into the ear canal. This scared me at first, but when I tried it on myself, it felt perfectly comfortable and safe. We got readings that were fairly comparable to another in-ear thermometer we have been using for a few years, but the Kinsa was noticeably more consistent than the other brand and showed slightly lower temperatures overall.
My daughter had no problems with us taking her temperature with the Kinsa and was excited to see the results in the app. I also love that it doesn't have disposable covers like our other brand of in-ear thermometer. It's easy to clean with alcohol and a cotton ball or Q tip. Overall, once you figure out the intricacies of this very well designed, slightly technically advanced gadget, it's a fantastic product to have in your arsenal for flu season.”
