“I was provided this thermometer to review through the Stellar Product Testing Panel, which I was excited about since I have considered this brand?s thermometers multiple times. Honestly, this thermometer was exactly what I was hoping it would be. It reads SO FAST. I've had other ?quick thermometers,? and they?re never as fast as they say, but this one really is. My kI'do hates having his temperature taken but it's over so fast now that he doesn't even mI'd. I found it accurate, and I really like the feature that lets you know whether it is in a normal/medI'm/high range. it'seems silly, but it really takes the guesswork out at 2AM and I appreciate that! I was suspicious that the app would be just for show, but since installing it and seeing how it is laid out the profiles feature is going to be super useful next time all of us are ill (which of course happens because kids are pros at sharing their germs) to be able to keep track of how everyone's temperature has been without trying to remember. I haven't fully explored the app yet but I'm sure I will, as there are features that look super useful like follow-up recommendations and medication remI'ders. I've already recommended the thermometer to my parents'(in their sixties) because of its accuracy and usefulness.”

I love technology and the ability to to connect the thermometer to an app and store multiple family members information is a huge selling point. When my son was born I reached his feedings, his sleep, and even his poopy diapers, so I love being able to look back at his information in the Kinsa app. I also love the tips on next steps to take based on symptoms. “This soft rubbery tip is ideal for complaining toddlers who are already fussy when not feeling well. Slips right under tongue for an accurate read in 1-2 seconds. My toddler used to push our old stick thermometer around in her mouth, complaining that it was poking her, taking several minutes to read, and couldn't always count on it to be accurate under those conditions. Our Kinsa stays comfortably put! We love the app recording features. No more writing temperatures and times down on random scraps of paper. Even has a feature to record medicine doses, symptoms, and automatically records and stores temperature on the app as its paired via Bluetooth. The Kinsa quickcare thermometer has really lived up to its name, saving us time so we can'take care of our little people! “I thought the Kinsa thermometer was great! It was super easy to use and pair with the app. The thing I liked most about it is how it holds all of your recordings in the app so there is no guessing what your chI'd's temperature was the last time you took it. It was also really fast at getting their temperature. I have wiggly kids and didn't have any issue getting a good reading. The app was great and easy to use. I was able to log their other symptoms so I knew exactly what was going on and when. I would highly recommend this product!

“So far, this thermometer is my favorite to use and that includes the ones for the hospital setting. It is quick, reliable and gives you option in the app to select the route you are going to use to obtain the reading. Overall, I like the app. You can set up a profile for each family member and based on the I'dividual?s age, the app will recommend which route to use (oral, axillary, or rectal). My only complaint is that you do have to put in each person?s birthday in order to create their profile. The app has a linked feature called ?Check Your Local Illinois Risk? and while I cannot attest to the accuracy of the data, I'do think this is a cool idea and a possibly useful tool. “Although I received the Kinsa QuickCare Smart Thermometer for free through the Stellar Product Testing Panel, this review is my own opinion.
The Kinsa QuickCare Smart Thermometer is a quick, accurate thermometer. We use this thermometer under the tongue for adults and under the arm for our chI'dren. The instructions state this thermometer could also be used rectally. We did not use it this way; however, it is soft and flexibly and would be safe to use in this way for young chI'dren. Overall, we have been very happy with the thermometer. It has provided results in five to ten seconds. All results were accurate and the given temperature did not vary more than one or three decimals when temperatures were consecutively taken. I feel I can'trust this thermometer and it has become my go-to when I need to track fevers for my chI'dren. My favorite feature of the thermometer is it's ability to connect to the free Kinsa app and, through the app, track temperatures, medication, symptoms, and give helpful suggestions. The app was easy to use with the thermometer and helpful in the care of our toddler. We had one instance this week where we needed to keep track of my 15 month old?s temperature after he received his vaccines. We were able to quickly take his temperature and record all changes in the app. This was especI'lly helpful when we needed to give him some medicine to help with the fever. We were able to record the time and dosage of the medication given to him in the Kinsa app as well as set up a remI'der of when we could give him another dosage if necessary. The only issue I had with the thermometer and the app was the app not recording any temperatures unless my phone was nearby. My phone has to be fairly close for temperatures to be recorded; however, the app does not need to be open. The app will save the temperatures and you can return to the app later to assign recorded temperatures to family members. Despite this, the Kinsa QuickCare Smart Thermometer is a wonderful addition to our fever kit. It has become my favorite thermometer to get quick, accurate temperatures from my squI'my chI'dren.”
“The Kinsa QuickCare Smart Thermometer was given to us thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I was able to download the app in less than 30 seconds and it was about a 5 minute set up because I needed to enter in each of my family members and their date of births. My youngest is 1 so an oral temp from her is nearly impossible but that?s ok because the app will actually set your thermometer for rear temp taking if it was necessary. I tested it on my 3 year old though and set it to oral temp taking. He did it like a champ and then the app saved the data right to my phone and popped up a chart explaining that he had a normal temp and all was good. It even gave me a section to add any symptoms he may be experiencing. Super great for tracking things, especI'lly with 4 kids!
My favorite feature, I think, is that the thermometer is super flexible and soft so it's not as intrusive or uncomfortable for little ones. It really is the best thermometer I've used so far with my kI'dos.”
“This thermometer wasn?t everything I hoped it would be. Overall the basics work: the thermometer takes temperatures quickly and you have the option to log temperatures in the Kinsa app. It worked great the first time I used it, but I had issues later. When my LO was warm I grabbed the thermometer and kept getting an error message when trying to use it. At this point I also realized how hard the tiny on/off button is to use with a wiggling chI'd in your arms. Later, I trI'd looking in the app for a user guide or what the error message meant, but didn't fI'd anything. doesn't make sense to not include instructions in the app. I was eventually able to get a temperature for my LO, but then the app saved it as oral, even though it was underarm. I am not impressed with the storage included either, which is little more than a resealable baggie. Thank you to Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing this thermometer to try.”
