“I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and absolutely love it! This is the easiest thermometer I've ever used in terms of readability, user experience and added benefits.
The hardest part of using this product was setting up the app, and even that was pretty painless. A quick note that I wasn't able to use the thermometer right away until I had the app set up so that was a bit frustrating. However, once I set up the app it was a breeze!
I appreciated being able to set up profiles for each person in my household in the app. That is a super helpful tool to keep everyone in line and tracking their wellness. The app also makes it'super easy to distinguish between the three ways you can use the thermometer (oral, under arm, anal) and notes the temp variances between them. I always forgot to add/subtract degrees based on where the temp was taken, so it was nice to have a tool that did the remembering for me.
The app was easy to navigate, easy to enter data, and even provided tips based on the temperature. A great bonus! Also good to note that you don't have to have the app open when you take the temperature after you go through the initial setup. As long as the bluetooth is set up, the temperature will sync with the app the next time you open it. Nice, because I'don't always have my phone around when taking a temp, and I'don't have to worry about tracking one more thing down! You can easily match the temp to the correct profile too, so records stay in line
The thermometer itself was very nice. I appreciated the flexible neck, making it easy to maneuver when trying to get the temperature of a squI'my toddler. The small size made it easy to hold. And the speed of the temp reading was quick and easy! A bonus was the elephant image that showed up in the app while the thermometer was in use, entertaining my chI'd as I took the temperature. The numbers were large and easy to read, and the varying background colors based on the temp (green=good) also gave an easy to understand I'dicator.
Another bonus is that it came with a storage bag. Other thermometers I've used did not come with that, and I appreciate having it to help keep it clean.”
“As a mom of three, I am very familiar with how stressful it can be if one of my kids gets sick and how much energy and time it takes to take care of a sick chI'd. I love that this takes one of the things that I usually have to do - tracking temperatures - off of my plate. it's definitely a comfort knowing that when I call the pediatrician, I have everything saved in a way that's super easy to get back to without having to remember to write it down - especI'lly since I can keep track of symptoms and meds in the same place! The temperatures we've taken so far are also pretty consistent which I appreciate. With a squI'my little kid, it's usually pretty hard for us to get a high quality read each time, but this thermometer seems to get pretty close. Design-wise, I like that the thermometer is slim, flexible, and modern looking and love that it comes with its own travel pouch, something which I have always improvised in the past with a plastic bag. I stick a few disposable thermometer covers in the pouch with the Kinsa and it goes straight into our travel bag! “Overall I was pleasantly surprised by this thermometer. The screen is so easy to read - I only wish I had had this for those mI'dle of the night temperature checks in the early days! I was at first a little hesitant at the quick read as they never seem to be as fast as advertised. This was not the case! I think I got one rating in less than six seconds.
My husband and I trI'd this thermometer out ourselves, before testing it on our little guy (3 yo) as we did receive this thermometer from Stellar Panel in exchange for an honest review.
It was super easy to hold under my tongue unlike some larger fI'm thermometers. I also enjoyed that it automatically started reading as soon as it detected the temperature.
This Smart thermometer does also utilize a smartphone app which overall I wasn't super excited about. While I consider myself tech savvy, I'don't love smart products (keep it'simple!) I actually really liked the app, especI'lly the tracking feature. The only thing I see as lacking is the ability for others to share the app. It would be great if husband or caretaker could also see the tracking history. Overall, I am pleased with this product. “I received the product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and am sure glad I'did! My old thermometer broke without my knowledge. I was using it with the kids and was wondering why it was giving me different readings. When I opened the package for the Kinsa QuickCare Smart Thermometer, the kids were excited to use it. I trI'd it on two of my four chI'dren and it was quick and so easy to use. I usually dread having to take the kids? temperature, because they never sit'still, they get tired of holding it in their mouths, and they keep taking it out to look at it. But not with the Kinsa thermometer! It took their temperature in 30 seconds! I also downloaded the app, which was super simple! The app received the temperature reading the same time as the thermometer. The app, which I'downloaded to my phone, had a place for me to save each family member?s name and gave them a unique icon, which the kids loved. Also, the app asked me whether my kids were experiencing any other symptoms showed me a timeline of temperature readings for each chI'd, gave guidance on home care, and a way to check my local illness risk. What?s not to love? I would definitely recommend the Kinsa smart thermometer to anyone, especI'lly parents'”
“I received this thermometer from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. It is a great thermometer and I really like how quickly it was able to get reliable readings. Its speed is very beneficial with young kids. My five year old does well with having his temperature taken but my three year old is a bit wary. Using the app to let her watch the elephant blow bubbles until the thermometer has a reading is so helpful! I love that the app also asks pertinent symptom questions and offers preliminary health advice to guide decisions about going to the doctor versus monitoring at home. I like that the questions are tailored to the age of the person whose temperature is being taken. The app is easy to navigate and I love that the thermometer can work easily both with or without the app. it's small size makes it convenient to be able to take along when we travel. Overall this is an easy to use, quick thermometer with a lot of great additional features when paired with the easy to navigate app.”
“Wish I had this thermometer sooner! With three kids, keeping track of everyone's temperatures can be a challenge. In the past I would try to remember to save the reading in my phone notes and hope I'did it when relaying to the nurse later. This thermometer has an app that does that all for me! Plus I could store timing of medication so I can ensure I am keeping on top of kids medication (bonus when there are multiple sick kids in the house). Like anything, the app only works if I use it with thermometer - so no guarantee I will but I liked the idea and it was easy to use. Even without the app I really appreciated how fast the thermometer took a temperature reading. We've had standard thermometer's in the past and kids always complained how long it took to take a reading. Now my older chI'd (8yr) didn't enjoy the texture of the stick for oral reading, but it was over so quick it wasn't a big deal. “I was excited to receive this thermometer from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I've owned several simple probe thermometers over the years. I've never felt the need to upgrade, but it is annoying to try to keep it in place on a screaming/curious infant/chI'd while having to wait for what seems like forever for the temperature reading to stabilize. The flexible stem on this thermometer means the probe stays in place even when the chI'd is trying to grab at it. Also, the reading was done within seconds. I also love the app it'syncs with; it automatically store previous temperature reading, and you can set up profiles for multiple I'dividuals. This is amazing, because what sleep-deprived parent is going to be able to answer a the nurse's question about when they last took their sick chI'd's temperature, and what the temperature was otherwise?”
“With my baby?s recent release from the NICU, it was important for me to have a reliable thermometer I could take her temperature with every 3 hours. I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and it has proven to be the perfect match for our family! It also came just in time, as my 3 year old started running a fever right after its arrival. The reliability and accuracy of this thermometer gives us peace of mI'd. With a newborn and a lack of proper sleep, the app proved to be extremely important as I'don't have to rely on my own faulty memory and instead, can easily track temperatures, medication dosages and times, symptoms, and even set remI'ders for myself. The app also helped me to easily share all of this information through the timeline feature with the doctor when I took her to urgent care. The best part of it all is I can easily track both of my kids with the same thermometer through profiles that are simple to navigate through the app. I love that the app gives suggestions on next action steps based off of recorded symptoms, and even tracks your local illness risk.
Furthermore, the Kinsa thermometer has a sleek, lightweight and flexible design, and is easy to keep clean. It does not require covers which makes it even more convenient. My baby used to cry at every temperature taking while she was in the NICU, but doesn't seem to mI'd this thermometer at all! Overall I have found no negatives to share about this product. It is quick and efficient - providing accurate readings in seconds - is extremely reliable, easy to use, and the app is also very user friendly and convenient to say the least. I would absolutely recommend this thermometer to anyone with young chI'dren!”
