Kinsa QuickCare Smart Thermometer Reviews

4.6 Rating 407 Reviews
This thermometer had everything I'didn't realize I needed and then some. The reliability and accuracy seems spot on since having and using it for a couple weeks on multiple I'dividuals in my household. I like that you set oral, rectal or underarm to what you are taking. This is important since that allows for the most accurate reading. I have never had a thermometer do this before and it is one of my favorite features! Best part of it all is that is takes seconds to get a reading. All parents'know this is a MUST when taking a uncooperative chI'd's temp (which is most chI'dren who are sick!). I love that the app easily organizes all the temperature readings for you and even goes above and beyond by metering the concern level you should have and discussing whether you should call a doctor or go to the ER. I also liked that I can put in multiple profiles to the app and link it to my Apple Health. Also, if you sign up for alerts (which I'definitely did!), it will notify you about illnesses and risks in your area. It even gives you a risk level for COVID and Influenza for your area-just insert your zip code! This app was packed with so many great features and was so easy to navigate-even a person not so tech savvy can easily use it. Thank you Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending me the product and trusting my feedback. I highly recommend this thermometer!

I received this thermometer to test as part of the Stellar Product Panel and I'must say I am VERY impressed. I have another tech thermometer from another brand and the Kinsa QuickCare Smart Thermometers performance is far superior. Temperature readings are faster and I belI've, more accurate (even with a squI'ming toddler). My favorite feature of the thermometer is that its actually flexible so it'stays in place even with a little movement and still works quickly. The app download was quick and functions well. I love that I can make dedicated screens for each family member to track everyones temperatures (especI'lly during COVID). The app is very user friendly.

The Kinsa smart thermometer is the thermometer that I never knew I needed. It was so easy to set up! Once I'downloaded the app, it I'mediately took me through the set up and syncing process, with no fussing. Now, whenever I take one of my kI'dos temps, I get a notification on my phone automatically and it asks me if I want to save the temperature reading. I'm able to have different profiles for each of my kids, and it asks which one the temperature is for. I love being able to look back and reference how their temperatures have changed and that I'm able to log symptoms as well. When my kids are sick, it's hard to keep track of everything because I'm focusing on taking care of them. Kinsa is an easy way for me to manage their illnesses and share the information with our pediatrician, if needed. The thermometer itself is extremely easy to use, and I've found the readings to be very accurate. One of the hardest parts of taking a chI'd's temperature is keeping it in the right position long enough to get a good reading. Thankfully, this thermometer takes about 6 seconds or less to read. Every second counts when you're trying to keep a squI'my toddler still. I'm so thankful to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending me this thermometer to try.

Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this thermometer to try out; as a mom, one of my main priorities is keeping my family healthy and safe. A good thermometer is essential; the Kinsa QuickCare Smart Thermometer is an incredible tool to help navigate times when your family gets sick and can be used with all life stages as the temperatures can be taken orally, underarm, or even rectally. I tested this thermometer against two other thermometers that we have in our home already and it matched the temperatures they provided every single time while being FAR faster. It has an app that makes the age-old nighttime worry of, "Wait, what was my chI'd's temperature last? Is this new temperature higher???" a thing of the past as the app tracks the temperatures and even provides guidance based on temperature and symptoms recorded. My toddler was easily able to sit'still through its super-fast temperature taking time (about 8-9 seconds by our count) and was quite happy to pop the bubbles that the app can show on your phone while connected and taking a temperature. The app itself is intuitive and easy to both use and set up. I have zero complaints about this thermometer--I LOVE how fast it is to take an accurate temperature of even the squI'miest toddler. My most favorite thing of all, however, is how the app provides "guidance". I'll include screenshots from my phone showing the screens we were shown once my chI'd's temperature was logged; the app asks if there are severe symptoms, then mI'd, and provides information and tips on how to proceed based on all of the given information. it's so reassuring, especI'lly to sleep-deprived parents' to have a bit of extra information at your fingertips that I'mediately gives you a sense of direction. I'd happily purchase this for myself and would gladly give it as a gift to my friends.

I was given this thermometer to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. As a mom of 2 young kI'dos (2 year old and newborn), having a thermometer in the event one of them gets sick is essential. I really like that the Kinsa thermometer can be used alone or with the app on your phone. The app is free to download and I like that it tracks measurements as they are taken, making it easy to trend temperature readings and show your doctor quickly. The thermometer gave me a quick and accurate temperature readings. It has a flexible and lightweight design, which allowed me to easily hold the thermometer with my wiggly newborn and made it easy for my toddler to hold the thermometer by himself. Temperature probe covers can be used with the thermometer, but are sold separately. So you may want to pick up a few probe covers if you will be sharing the thermometer between family members.

My toddler always has some sort of sickness and I am constantly wondering if I need to take her to the doctor or not. The Kinsa QuickCare Smart Thermometer was the perfect fix. My daughter has sensory issues and never allows things in her mouth so it was perfect that I could use the thermometer in so many different ways. These include oral, under the arm, and rectal. I was able to take her temperature under her arm really quickly with no problems whatsoever. I took my own temperature multiple times before taking my daughter's and the readings were consistent and correct so it appears to be reliable and accurate. I love that it connected to the app. The app was so easy to use and I was able to set up a profile for all my family members so all our information is kept separate. It only took about 3 minute to download and completely set up the app. Its very user friendly and intuitive so there was no learning curve time. My favorite part is that it'stores the past temperatures so I was able to track over time how my daughter was doing. It also has a graph that marks where the temperature is and how to care for it'such as when to take her to the doctor or to take care of her at home. I also like that you can input your zip code and it gives you a rating of the likelihood of getting sick in your area at the time. Thanks Stellar Product Testing Panel for the great product! I highly recommend it for its ease of use and the price point is perfect for what you are getting.

I absolutely loved how quickly this took a temp. it's such a nice feature considering that a little one doesn't want to sit'still long to have their temperature taken. I liked the app ? very easy to navigate and sync up. From what I could tell it'seemed to take a reliable temperature. it's a small thing but I really liked the baggie that you can store it in. I'don't like the plastic tubes others come in because I swear the cap gets lost after like the thI'd use. I received this thermometer free through Stellar Product testing panel.

About the thermometer: (+) The Kinsa thermometer is very easy to use. I liked the large, easy to read screen, and that the temperature would show up on the app. My son's school requires an oral temp for daily health screening, so it perfectly suited our needs. (+) The thermometer seemed to give a reading very quickly as well, which is pretty essential since my son doesn't seem willing to keep the thermometer in his mouth any longer than necessary. We also didn't get any wacky readings, everything was consistent. (+) My favorite part of this thermometer was the app. It was very easy to download and use. I created a profile for every family member. I LOVE the idea that it will track our temperatures. While I belI've this feature would be particularly useful for a sick kid, I also think it's useful to see my son's normal temperature range over time. That means I would have a better idea when it'starts to get a little off before he's actually come down with a true fever. (=) The plastic sleeve case that came with the thermometer is a little small for holding the directions, so I'm concerned we might lose them. The thermometer itself is pretty self explanatory, but I would probably want to reference them if I needed to set up the thermometer on another phone. (-) The thermometer has a metal tip but is soft touch on the body. This seems nicer for putting in your mouth (or elsewhere!) than hard plastic, but when I wiped it dry with a tissue, it left a lot of lint behI'd. About Us: I never used to think much of thermometers because we wouldn't really use fever reducing medication but just keep the kids comfortable and let the fever "work". That all changed when my son had a febrile seizure (seizure caused by a rapid increase in body temperature) a couple years ago. Since then, we use thermometers whenever he even feels flushed (and fever reducing medication) in order to keep his temperature in check. And of course now with COVID, I'm checking his temperature every single morning for a school health screening, so thermometers have become a lot more used in our house! It was great to receive the Kinsa thermometer as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
