“I've trI'd quite a few thermometers since I've had my son. At one point he was very sick and I had to continuously check his temperature. This was the most accurate thermometer ever. It measures temperature very quickly (which is huge when you have squI'my babies and wiggly toddlers) and is still super accurate. We really liked that it was a little flexible too. And the app is so convenient! Not only does it track temperatures and medications (and send out remI'ders!), it gives you pointers on what you can do to feel better based on your age. You can create a profile for each chI'd on there, too. Also, you don't have to use the app in order to get a reading either, which is nice for those that aren't as tech savvy or if you don't have your phone on hand. I would definitely recommend this thermometer! I wish I had it for my first baby!”
“I have trI'd other traditional thermometers before and I have to say I really like that there?s a bit of added technology with the Kinsa Thermometer. My favorite feature is the app and personalized profiles. Very easy to set up and use. It is so reassuring to see that the temperature readings for my daughter are appropriate for her age. It also shows signs to watch out for, a timeline of events, and an local illness chart. There is also a symptom checking area and based off what you choose it'll give some suggestions of what you could do next.
It also mentions to contact a doctor if you or your chI'd is displaying symptoms that have not been listed. Overall I would say this is a great thermometer. My only complaint is that sometimes when you turn it on it gives the Err (error) reading if you do not have it ready to insert into the mouth or ready to get a reading. It kI'd of times out if you haven't put it in the mout, armpit or rectum in time. What I've done is I turn it off and then back on again and it'seems to wait a little before giving the error time out message. So you have to be ready to go in that sense or else it might time out on you.
The app has nice features such as a remI'der clock on the top right and in the settings you can even join a school or group. This would have school updates and nurse information. I thought that was neat but since my daughter is not currently enrolled I'don't know much more about how it would work.
it's also really fun for kids and really cute because while the reading is loading it will show a cute animal on the app as a loading and waiting perI'd. You could use that as a distraction for your kids if they are not wanting to have their temperature taken. My daughter thought it was cute and wanted to check her temperature more often. She trI'd to use it and had fun with the whole experience. Granted she was not sick at the time but still I think these are fun features and the thermometer and app were well thought out. EspecI'lly being a first time parent (second time parent here) and worrying sick about your baby or chI'd and not knowing what a regular or normal temperature is for their age.
Even for my age it gave a normal reading and gave adequate information when I selected a symptom off the list. It even has a cdc Covid symptom list and information area. This is only for an adult so if you don't see it in your chI'd's profile this is probably why. I only have chI'dren 2 and under so it could even show for an older chI'd and not like an adult myself.

It has been so handy with a 2 year old and 9 month old, especI'lly during a pandemic. You download the app on your phone and it easily syncs all data for tracking. Easy to use and provides a relatively quick read, which is huge with two young ones who are always on the move. I've found it to be accurate and the app provides helpful information in regards to illness, symptoms, and steps to take. I love how it'suggests home care, contacting a physician, etc. based off of the temperature read. It then provides additional information when you list any symptoms the user has currently. I highly suggest purchasing probe covers if you are planning to use among multiple members of your family. Overall, I am pleased with the accuracy of this thermometer and would recommend.”
“The Kinsa thermometer was a pleasant surprise! When I heard "smart thermometer" I expected a bulkier product, not the sleek and discrete beauty that arrived at my door. The device itself is fairly flexible, which is a nice touch when you're trying to get the temperature of young kids. A helpful storage bag was included, which was a great surprise. The accuracy and reliability of the readings for the Kinsa were on-par with readings I took against my other usual thermometer. The product description says it takes an average of 8 seconds to collect a reading but it frequently took less time than that. The app was a fantastic addition to an already great product. My kids (2 and 3 years old) absolutely loved the playful elephant that blew bubbles while waiting for the thermometer to take a reading. I personally LOVED how I could create a profile for each member of my family and allow the app to do all the heavy lifting for me: keeping track of times, dates, temperature readings, symptoms, remI'ders, etc. An extra bonus was the app would tell you, based upon temperature readings and symptoms, how you should proceed; whether it is to wait out the sickness at home, call the doctor later or right away, or to go to the ER. I found that feature particularly helpful, since Dr. Google is not always very reliable!
Something that I would suggest to be improved is to fix the glitch when setting up the thermometer to be used with the app. While trying to dync the product with the app, I ended up having to set up the whole device through the settings page rather than being able to use the big ol' button that said "click here to set up" (when I'did, the thermometer didn't do anything). That can be very frustrating and discouraging for some customers, but I imagine would be an easy fix all the same.
Overall, this thermometer is amazing! I plan on telling about this new gem to all of my fellow friends and using this beauty for the foreseeable future.

“The scariest thing as a parent is to have a sick chI'd and to keep getting different inaccurate readings from your thermometer. I have been there and the uncertainty kills you and I swore to get a very reliable thermometer. I trI'd a handful out and after researching I understood that rectal temperatures are the most accurate for babies. Out of the rectal/oral/under-arm thermometers most have the same standard basic design. Using those would be terrifying because of how long readings would take and how hard it was to keep the poor sick baby to stay still with it being so uncomfortable. After buying so many expensive thermometers and having them all be the exact same thing, I found the Kinsa thermometer to be the easiest and fastest to use and just so different. It takes reading in way less time so you don't need to hold down your sick baby while he is uncomfortable. My favorite feature is how flexible and soft it is! It makes it'so easy for the baby to hold it in his mouth. It also has a huge screen with a very big font to make it easy to read the temperature in a dark room.
Having two babies and just the stress of having a sick baby makes it'so hard for me to remember and log temperature times and symptoms but the app makes it'so easy. I love showing the log to our pediatrician instead of being embarrassed because I can't remember the timeline of his symptoms and temperature log.
