“I received the Kinsa QuickCare Smart Thermometer for free as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and was excited to give it a try. With a baby in our family and no COVID vaccinations yet, I was grateful to have a new thermometer handy. I installed the Kinsa app on my Android phone and found it easy to set up and pair via bluetooth. However, I generally am pretty strict with my privacy settings and didn't feel comfortable with some of the questions I was asked on installation. I understand the concept is to track high temperatures within a specific zip code in order to follow trends of sickness, but it does seem a little creepy to me even in pandemic times. If you are comfortable with sharing this type of information, it is easy to do, as the app is very straightforward. The thermometer itself looks fairly similar to your average drugstore version and functions similarly. I tested it on my toddler and had several error messages at first, and didn't get a reading until my 5th try, which might be frustrating for parents'with squI'my sick kids. I compared the reading with my Vicks digital model and found the temperatures to differ within 4 degrees! This didn't bother me today, as my toddler is not actually sick or running a fever. However I could see how this could be worrisome if you only check your chI'd once. Overall, I will use this thermometer again but will delete the app from my phone, and will make sure to double check with another model if I am truly concerned about my chI'd's temperature.”
“The Kinsa QuickCare Smart Thermometer is a sleek, easy to use thermometer for the modern family. The biggest win is that my kids are willing to use it, because they like looking at the data in the Kinsa app. Prior to this thermometer, when my kids were running a fever, I'd have to write down the temperature readings and time on paper. it's so much more convenient having it automatically logged in the app. Also, I love that it can'tell me how much medicine to administer. No more having to search for the ibuprofen chart online. I had been using the temporal type thermometers but was always wary on the accuracy of the readings. They always fluctuate! “The best thermometer we've ever trI'd! After two years of struggling to fI'd a thermometer that would quickly and accurately measure our little guy's temperature, this is it!
We received the thermometer through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and, at first, I thought "Great. Another thermometer to put in the medicine cabinet that doesn't work." Boy, was I wrong. Not only can you use the thermometer in several different locations, such as orally or under the armpit, but it only takes a few seconds to read your temperature. This is super helpful when using on a squI'ming two-year-old. Additionally, having the temp I'mediately be recorded through the app is great for keeping track of the last temperature time and reading.
I actually tested the accuracy among the number of other thermometers I have stashed in my medicine cabinet and the Kinsa was the only one that read the same temperature time and time again.
We're definitely never going back to the old thermometers!”

My family was in the market for a new thermometer so this couldn't have come at a better time! A little background on me, I am a marrI'd mom to a busy 2.5 year old little girl. I LOVE this product! We have "smart" everything at my house and I never even thought about purchasing a smart thermometer. It makes it'so simple! I'did use the thermometer with the app, however you can use it without it if you wish. In less than 5 minutes you have the app downloaded and set up. The app makes life so simple! It connects to the thermometer and automatically tracks the temperature and the time under the selected profile. The app also has the option to add in medication times and even offers advice on when you should call the doctor and has tips for what to do next. I found the readings to be very accurate and I'definitely trust in it to care for us during our next illness. I used the thermometer on both myself and my daughter in oral and underarm modes and was very impressed at how quick it was. The packaging says that it reads in 8 seconds or less and it was definitely less! Most readings came in 4 seconds or less in my experience. This will make temperatures on my daughter a breeze in the future! I was surprised to fI'd that the thermometer was flexible and soft. It is also coated in a silicone coating which makes oral readings more comfortable. My favorite feature is the fact that the temperature is automatically added and time stamped in the app for you. The only thing that I wish was different was the travel pouch. The thermometer comes with a little storage bag that slides closed. While it works to keep the dust off, the bag feels big and bulky compared to the compact thermometer. I wish it came with a hard plastic case that was as compact as the thermometer itself. Overall it is a great product and I would recommend it to others! This is a game changer for parents'as it is just so simple to use! Love, Love, Love!”

“I recently received the Kinsa QuickCare Thermometer from Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my unbiased review. it's an interesting product that links to your smartphone via Bluetooth for symptom tracking for the entire family, as you are able to create profiles for each family member. Though I found the product to make quick and accurate readings (I ran tests on tap water of various temperatures and compared the readings to my instant read cooking thermometer) I was quite concerned with the app?s privacy policy. The Kinsa app, which is required in order to fully utilize the product, collects and sells your browsing history, your health data (such as temperature, medications taken, and symptoms), your demographics (age & gender), as well as your physical location. Though they claim to anonymize this data, I'm not comfortable having this information collected and sold for me and my family. If this product transformed the way I cared for myself and my family I'might be able to overlook these concerns, but at the end of the day I'm just more comfortable using it as a basic thermometer without connecting it to the app (a task it fulfills quite well!)”

It is very informative and makes keeping track of three kids' temperatures a breeze. It keeps a timeline of when the temperature was taken, what it was, and various symptoms that I check off that the chI'd has. The thermometer was quick at taking the temperature as well and only took a few seconds. This feature is great for squI'my kids. I love that it lights up either red or green once the temperature is read. I would highly suggest this thermometer and the app.”
“I'm a busy mom of two young, active chI'dren and I loved this thermometer! I received this thermometer as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. It is so fast to get a temperature reading and very easy to use the app. It reliably recorded our temperatures and I was able to save that info to our profiles that I created within the kinsa app to accurately keep track of everything. The kinsa app was actually helpful and super easy to navigate but you are also able to use this thermometer on its own without the app if you don't pair it through bluetooth to your phone. When a family is all sick at the same time, keeping track of temperatures on this app is so much easier. The feature that my kids liked most about this app was the cute elephant that shows up while taking their temps. The best feature about this thermometer for me was how fast it read their temps - no more squI'ming while waiting around! I'definitely recommend this thermometer for other busy parents'who only want peace of mI'd when your kI'dos are sick.”
