“We love this thermometer! I'did a lot of research on thermometers before having my baby and ended up going with a basic no-frills oral thermometer. After a nasty case of roseola I freely admit that WAS A BIG MISTAKE. The Kinsa has all of the features I wish we had during that experience: a very precise and accurate reading, able to take readings super quickly, and an intuitive app that tracks all of the temperatures taken and gives recommendations. Our little girl fever spiked up 4 degrees to 103 over the course of a single morning, and it was really difficult for me to remember and relay all of the temps to the nurse over the phone before bringing her in. The Kinsa app would have made the whole experience a lot less stressful, especI'lly as new parents'with a sick little one. “I have been very impressed with how user friendly the Kinsa QuickCare Smart Thermometer is. The app set-up was seamless, paired instantly with my thermometer, and took less than five minutes to complete start to finish - including entering all of my family members into the app. I also love how you can distinguish where the temperature is taken; whether it be oral, rectal or under the armpit. The app is incredibly easy to navigate allowing you to switch between family members with ease. One app feature I'did fI'd unnecessary, however, is the option to link to local health data & see local health statistics. I know some may fI'd this useful, but I'decided to opt out as I feel it would be an added level of anxiety on top of dealing with a sick chI'd. As for actually taking a temperature, the thermometer turns on quickly. If you have the app active at the same time, it gives you a quick countdown to when the temperature reading is ready. Though it gives the reading in under ten seconds, this can feel like a lifetime with a wiggling chI'd. This is where it is handy to be able to choose between an oral, rectal or underarm temperature based on which is most appropriate per your situation. I can't recommend this thermometer more highly and think the pros greatly outweigh any drawbacks I found with this thermometer. I am an anxious mom when my chI'd is sick and I like to know I am getting an accurate temp reading without upsetting my chI'd too much. This one worked pretty fast and easy. The App is a nice feature for storing health data and understanding trends when she is sick. I like being able to see her historical timeline. The remI'ders are also helpful for medicine doses, etc.”
“Very simple to download and get set up on the app. I have several other devices at home that I use strictly through their apps so I'm no stranger to the system. Most thermometers now will temporarily record the last temp taken, but I appreciate that this keeps a permanent record of all the times temps were taken. It also seems to provide further insight should your chI'd's temp start to climb (or get too low). The thermometer itself is not bulky, bendable so my little one can't quite break it just yet, and as I'mentioned before - easy peasy to use. I've found the readings to be accurate so far (in comparing to our other thermometers), so I'm confident in continuing to use this. I appreciate that I am still able to get an on-body temp (opposed to a forehead/touch less scan) & it is quick enough to eliminate toddler wiggles & squI'ms. Getting the on body temp quickly eased my mI'd that the temp I was reading was accurate.

“I am the type of mom that wants to be organized but rarely has the mental faculties available amidst taking care of my three chI'dren and working full time to actually BE organized. So when this thermometer and coordinating app came into my life, it was a game-changer. When you take a temperature it automatically puts it into the app--along with a timestamp (so now I'don't have to sound like a space cadet when the doctor asks me for specifics on my chI'd's symptoms). Instead of having to google "What is normal for a rectal/underarm/under the tongue temp?" every single time, I plug in the method before measuring and the app tells me what's normal. The Kinsa QuickCare Smart thermometer reads temperatures super quickly, which is a blessing as my daughter is still of the rectally-measured age and will only sit'still for so long. I love that my entire family can be organized on the app, not just my kids, so it helps me keep track of both my and my husband's health as well. The app is super easy to use, and even asks prompting questions with each temperature reading to help you document all symptoms you're noticing. The app is super easy to set up, too--just a few steps and you're done. I never would have thought to seek out a different thermometer (how often do you'really need one, right?) than the one that hides at the bottom of our medicine cabinet and looks like it's been through several natural disasters, but then I received the Kinsa QuickCare Smart Thermometer from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and it has honestly changed the face of my family's health monitoring. “The thermometer really does do it all! I was a little skeptical as to why you would need a ?smart? thermometer but it really is very intuitive and helpful as a parent. The first thing you do is download the app and it asks you a couple of questions about each of your family members as it can'track more than one person using one thermometer. Once you take a temperature of yourself or if your family member it gives you information and recommendations on how to handle the situation. Not only does it help you with this type of stuff but it also gives you a quick and very reliable reading which is super important when you have a chI'd that isn?t feeling well.
Another thing that is really neat is it actually keeps your health history and the thermometer readings which is very helpful when you're a tired parent and trying to keep track of whether your chI'd's temperature is going up or down!
