“I received the Kinsa QuickCare Smart Thermometer through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
We received this thermometer at the perfect time. Unfortunately my daughter tested positive for COVID-19 and the Kinsa QuickCare gave me more relief than I knew I needed. First off, it is QUICK! Temperature reading took less than 10 seconds. With my daughter not feeling well, I needed something fast that would also be accurate because she can't sit'still for long. In all honesty, I had still been using the thermometer we were sent home from the hospital with after she was born. She is now 21 months old and cannot sit'still for longer than 15 seconds at most!
My favorite part about the thermometer was the app. It took less than 5 minutes to set up and you can personalize it for different members of your family. I was able to log her temperatures (via Bluetooth, no plugging anything in) and her symptoms. The app then provided me feedback on her symptoms and temp to let me know we could manage her symptoms at home and did not need to take her in to urgent care/ER.
I highly recommend this thermometer, especI'lly to all parents'with little ones who don't sit'still for long. It is a quality product that provides accuracy and ease of mI'd.”
“I received the Kinsa QuickCare Smart Thermometer from the Stellar Review Testing Panel to review. Right away out of the box, I was able to quickly download the app and get started using it. The thermometer connects to the phone through Bluetooth, and it connected seamlessly and quickly during setup. The app guided me through adding users and setting up profiles.
The thermometer has settings for three reading methods- oral, rectal, and underarm. After making the initial choice, it will default to that selection, but when using the app, it can easily be changed when getting ready to take a new reading. Readings can also be taken without the app open then later linked to the appropriate user. It also completed the reading quickly. When testing with my daughter in an underarm reading, we got the temperature before having to deal with excessive wiggles, which has not been the case with other types of thermometers we have tested.
When tracking temperatures, the app prompts for reporting of additional symptoms, and if an elevated temperature is recorded, and email is sent with advice and possible next steps. This seems to be a nice feature to provide resources if someone needs them.
Before trying this, I thought the tracking on the app wasn?t necessary, but I found I really liked knowing I could store the information easily, and possibly share it with the doctor if needed.”
“The Kinsa thermometer has it all! The thermometer itself appears simple with only one button, but combined with the app it takes care of everyone. The Kinsa app allows me to create a separate profile for everyone with their own avatar. With a simple click I can move between profiles and set I'dividual alarms for medication. And because I can record each reading, I have a history to show the doctor in case I ever need to go into the office. The app even gives helpful advice on what the do depending on the reading. The flexibility and quick read of the thermometer is great for squI'my kids. I was able to check my fussy 2 year old in his sleep. There is even a waiting screen in the app to help distract kids until the reading is complete. And just in case you don't use the app, the thermometer has an appropriate face icon to let you know if the reading is something to be of concern. This is now a vital part of my sick day arsenal and I am happy the Stellar Product Testing Panel gave this to me to try.”
“I found this thermometer amazing. I tend to go through a lot of thermometers as they never seem to last long. I have not had this item for long but for the short time I have used it, I found it to work wonderfully. The app is very simple to use, even for those who are technically impaired. The thermometer connects with a click of a button, no instructions necessary. You can add each user so that it can keep track of the temperatures. The temperature is take within 8 seconds and is easy to use on my chI'dren under the arm. The results pop up on the app I'mediately. It does have a feature that asks questions to see if there are alarming symptoms and gives guidance on how to treat which can be helpful to some. My chI'dren do like the elephant on the app as it takes the temperature which is distraction for them. I would recommend this thermometer.†It does seem to be reliable when comparing it to other thermometers. “This thermometer came just in time. Two of my three kids were sick this last week and this thermometer seems to be much more reliable and accurate than the others. It was easy to use and very quick (for wiggly littles that?s a must). I loved how the app gave advice and tracked temps too. Sometimes it's hard to remember what their last temperature was (when taking care of sick kids) so that was probably my favourite feature of the app, but everything seems pretty easy to navigate. I can't say enough good things about the simplicity and ease of this thermometer. Not only is it'small and comes with a storage bag, but it's fast and accurate as well.
The results are quick and upload right to your phone. No more guessing when the thermometer is done either because there?s a loading bar telling you how much longer there is to go.
I LOVE the app. it's user friendly and my favorite feature is that there is a separate profile for each member of the family- all under one easy login! Additionally- it has a symptom tracker where you can input all of your symptoms and track them. It has recommendations per your fever on when you should call a dr vs go to the ER.
I can't wait to continue making sure my family is healthy with my new Kinsa thermometer.”
“I received this thermometer from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I looked forward to trying out a new thermometer. To be completely honest, before having my first son in April 2019, we didn't even own a thermometer! Once he was born, we got one that is the typical underarm/mouth version. It obviously got us through until now but I was never really happy with it. I was thrilled to receive this one to try something new and I will say, I have only been pleased with the Kinsa!! It actually reads my sons temperature in the approximate 8 seconds (the other one I had would sometimes but not all of the time which is super annoying on busy mornings). I love how flexible the Kinsa is because it's so easy to take an underarm reading with a moving toddler. I also think it's super accurate and consistent which is always comforting!! My toddler also loves the smiley face feature for no fever (luckily we haven't had a fever yet for a sad face).
The other feature that I never knew I would love so much is the app! it's so cool to have my toddler?s temperature tracked everyday (we take it everyday before sending him to daycare) and then the app will also ask you about any other symptoms! We have our whole family set-up in the app so when you take a temperature, you just record who it was for and how it was taken which is so cool! The only downfall to the app is how long it will take for the temperature readings to sync up. I took 2-3 mornings worth of temperatures before it'showed up in the app. This may be due to the fact that my phone is downstairs while I'm taking temperatures upstairs though. Either way, they do eventually show up which is something I've never had before so the thermometer still gets 5 stars from me!!”
“I received the Kinsa QuickCare smart thermometer from stellar product panel. I have to say I am impressed by it. You do need to set up an app to have the perks of using the thermometer. You have to set up a profile for each person you want to have saved by having Name, profile aviator, dob, and gender. I like that in the app, it had 3 different options for taking a temp: oral, rectal, underarm and an explanation of the temp variances. When you take a temp you select the profile and the option of temp. Then the app will do all the work. When you take the temperature it will pop up instantly on the app, there is no manually entering temp or time. it's nice especI'lly in the mI'dle of night and when you have to call a nurse or doctor and you have all the info stored. If the temperature is higher it will rate when to call a doctor or go to the ED. My only problem is that there is no way to switch between oral to rectal so, I'decided to keep it as a rectal thermometer for my son and not use it for my daughter who would take her temp orally. If there was an oral protector sold for this, I would say this is a must for multiple kids.”
