“I received the Kinsa Quick Care Thermometer for free as part of a school initiative. The thermometer is quick to use, easy-to-read, and the app is useful for managing symptoms and data. it'seems like you have to use the app to use the thermometer, but it is able to be used without the app as well. You are able to keep track of multiple family members with customized fever guidance and tips within the app.”
“I'm a first time mom. I've trI'd multiple thermometers.. some that take the temperature directly from his forehead and others that are your average regular thermometer. However, none of them have ever seemed accurate. For example, his forehead would feel extremely hot and he?d be very sad all day but the thermometers would say it was normal. This is the only thermometer that has been very trustworthy and dependable. The app also has cool functions that help you keep track of temperatures for multiple people. It also allows you to keep track of what time you give medicine to your little one and how much you gave.”
“I bought the Kinsa while I was pregnant with my first baby. He's almost 1 now and we've used it plenty of times. The best part about it is that it connects to the Kinsa app on my phone and keeps a log of all the readings. It was extremely easy to set up the app and connect to the thermometer, even for someone who isn't tech savy. What I like most about this function is that once set up, the temperature reading gets sent straight to the app automatically without any sort of prompt. Even though it had been months between readings, the app still picked up the new reading and logged it. Ever since the Covid-19 outbreak we've used it everyday and it's nice to look back through the log to monitor for any changes.
Another thing I enjoy about this thermometer is that it is flexible and not rigid. This makes it easier to take the temperature of a squI'my baby. The bright green background and large digital numbers make it clear to read and the cute little smiley face shows up when the temperature is in a happy range. The one tricky thing with this thermometer is sometimes the ON button sticks a little because it is so small and a little hard to tell if you're pressing it. Truthfully I think this thermometer could easily have a higher price tag considering it's features. I'd happily buy this thermometer time and time again.”
“Above being super quick and incredibly accurate, there are many things I love about the Kinsa thermometer. I trI'd a few different thermometers before this one but never fully trusted the readings and so I never felt comfortable that I was doing my best for my kids. The Kinsa took that worry away. Since the readings are super quick, I was able to get my wiggly toddler to stay put long enough to get his temp and repeated attempts proved it to be accurate. My 4 year old loves to play doctor and can'take his own temp now, it's that easy to use.
The app is amazing, it's not necessary for the thermometer to work, but it has great features. It keeps a log of the readings and times so you don't have to try to remember. you're able to add symptoms and customize profiles for each person using the thermometer. What I loved for our family is that we could also set it to read in Celcius because my husband grew up in Brazil and still fI'ds it easier to figure body temps in Celcius. Much easier than googling a conversion when you're dealing with a sick kid.
Overall, I highly recommend this thermometer.”
“I have the Kinsa quick care thermometer and love how easy it makes it when tracking fevers in my whole family because it automatically syncs with the app on my phone. All I need to do is say who?s temperature I'm taking and which method (oral, rectal, under arm) I'm using, I'don't have to worry about what time it is or remembering the number.
One feature I love in the app is that it'shows a progress bar of how long until the thermometer is done, this is very helpful when taking temperatures of my 3 year old because she is much more willing to hold still and keep it under her tongue when she has a visual of how much longer it is going to take.
I also love that the app connected with the thermometer allows me to track symptoms as well as temperatures so I have a snap shot of what has been going on with my kids to look back on. My doctor loved it when I brought my 7 month old in with RSV and was able to tell him exactly how long certain symptoms had been going on. There?s no way I'd be able to keep track of that without the kinsa app.
The only con I have found with this thermometer is because it reads so quickly it'seems to read a little low when taking an underarm temperature on my 7 month old. I've found this to be true with other quick read thermometers and have heard it is because it takes longer to get a reading with this method and the thermometer doesn't adjust for that time. I tend to just take two readings in a row and go with the second one I get and it'seems to agree with other methods, so it'still works just takes a little longer.
I have tested this thermometer with a few others that I use and it'seems to be very accurate. The kinsa quick care thermometer is the first thermometer I reach for when someone in my family is not feeling well because I trust it and love the extras that come with using the app.”
“I bought the Kinsa Quick care thermometer for my baby to take temp under the arm. I couldn't use a ear scan'thermometer as he was too little. The app is easy to fI'd and download and seamlessly connects to the thermometer. I just found it a bit of a hassle to open the app and then connect and take temp, which is why I removed one star. Otherwise the readings are accurate, easy to read screen with big bold writing and the screen lights up for the reading. Easy to use in the dark. The best part of the app is that it tells whether the baby has a fever or not with a green smiley face for no fever and a red one I'dicating fever. It also stores the temperature readings in my app which is great when I have to give the reading numbers to the doctor. Overall I highly recommend this thermometer for its ease of use, accuracy, low price point and dependability. I'd buy it again.”
“I love using the Kinsa thermometer with the kids and because of its fun online app, the kids are much more receptive to using it. I have an older version that does not have a built in temperature display so I always have to use my phone to use the thermometer but the design has come a long way since that one. I love that taking the kids temperature they can pop bubbles which distracts them away from the task at hand. The app itself is fantastic for keeping track of historic temperatures and the color coding helps mitigate some of my concerns as a mom. Overall I have been extremely impressed with this thermometer and would recommend it to anyone.”
“I purchased Kinsa about a year ago after my thermometer went out during a bad sickness. I found Kinsa at the store and was so impressed by the new age features! This thermometer is exactly what this mom of 4 little kids needs. It electronically transfers my chI'dren?s temp to the app and helps me keep track of all the information regarding their illness. On their app I can keep track of symptoms, diagnosis, medicines they have taken and all the past temps. With multiple kids sick at once I've found it'so hard to keep track of all this information. Kinsa thermometer is super quick at taking temperatures on wiggly little kids and tracks how you took the temp for the most accuracy (arm pit, mouth, etc). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or purchase this thermometer for someone else!”
