“When I first received this product, I'downloaded the Kinsa app which was very easy and quick. At first I'didn't think I would need the app but once I navigated through the app and saw all the tools that were available, it is a must. It keeps track of past temperatures, symptoms, meds, how to soothe symptoms, how to cure symptoms and even coupons. I was also able to make profiles for each of the members of my family and keep track of symptoms, temperatures and meds.
The thermometer was very easy to use and easily connected to my phone. It took my kids temperature in 8 seconds and even had a game where they can pop balloons while they waited for their temperature to read. The thermometer is small enough to keep in a pocket and comes with a case so it's easy to have on the go.
The only downside of the thermometer was that you can only use it under the tongue, armpit, or rectally. For my older chI'dren it was great but for my one year old, it's easier for me to use the ear or forehead thermometer. I also use the ear or forehead when they are sleeping so I'don't have to wake them up which I can't do with this Kinsa QuickCare thermometer. All in all, I would definitely recommend this thermometer and I absolutely love the app!! I was given this product to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel.”
“Overall, this thermometer was pretty great. it's cute and functional. I think the best part about it is the Kinsa app. It integrates seamlessly with the thermometer. You can'take a temperature on someone without opening your phone and the next time you DO open your phone, it alerts you to the temp and lets you sync it to a family member. We trI'd it with and without the app and it went smoothly. The ability to sync it to a family member is great as well. I can'track temps over time for all 3 of my chI'dren (and myself!) without even having to think twice about it. The app is also very intuitive and user-friendly - both initial setup and everyday use are simple and well-planned.
The thermometer most importantly seems accurate. We checked it against two other probes we have at home and it matched both within 0.3 degrees. It was also consistent - we checked orally and under the arm on two kids every 5 minutes for 20 minutes and got the same reading.
The app lets you select if you chose orally, under the arm, or rectally (we did NOT test out the rectal feature as we plan on using it only orally and occasionally under the arm). The test is quick (”
“This marks 9 years of parenting under my belt, with 3 kids ages 2, 5, and 9. Over those years we have gone through so many colds, the flu, RSV and hand foot and mouth disease. I have spent so much money and frustration on trying to get an accurate temperature on small cranky kids, relying mostly on how they felt by hand. I figured the easiest route was going to be an expensive temporal thermometer, but the wide range of readings I got quickly shattered that hope.
I have to admit that I have seen these Kinsa smart thermometers in the store and just figured it was another gI'mick and walked right past. Now after finally receiving one I have to eat my words. The Kinsa app is so convenient and easy to use and is packed with tons of information. I got it'synced with my phone and set up for each family member in less than 5 minutes. Each family member has basically their own chart, with times, dates, symptoms including duration and severity and what to do next (home care, Dr, urgent care or ER). The box says 8 second reading so I trI'd it on my 2 year old with an under arm reading, and felt the result was actually very accurate with no need to account for the route the reading was taken. I also was afraid that it wouldn't want to work without opening the app first, but it worked just fine and it must have been in range of my phone because I had an alert of a new reading and just had to add to the proper person. The only downside was the it didn't come with any probe covers. I am definitely glad I finally got one and it's much better than I could have imagined! Thank you weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this smart thermometer to try and review.”
“As a future mommy of 3, I know how hard it can be to have multiple sick kids in the household (including me) I was so happy to learn about the Kinsa smart digital thermometer and it's free app to easily track everyone's temperature at once. I'm an old school mom and have always relI'd on a rectal thermometer to take my kids temperature. I've always felt it gives you the most accurate reading. I was so happy to know that I was able to use the Kinsa thermometer rectally, orally and in the underarm. I'decided to test both rectal and underarm readings and was impressed with the accuracy as there was only a -0.1 F difference between the two. My kids were also happy to take their temperature a different way! The app was also a great way to engage my kids while waiting for the reading. They were able to see their name on the screen and see bubbles pop while they waited. Their favorite part was playing doctor and listing all of their current symptoms and selecting them on the phone. The app was extremely easy to use and like I'mentioned, even my kids were able to use it. My favorite part was able to create a unique profile for my girls and myself. Being that I'm currently pregnant, I've been extremely forgetful lately. The app made it easy for me to reference everyone's past readings and also note any medications that were taken. I was extremely impressed by the additional resources the app provided, like common symptoms and how to treat common illnesses at home. I really enjoy using the thermometer for my kids and myself. Thank you to WeeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this digital thermometer!”
“This thermometer was so easy to use! I have 7 people in our family and I was easily able to put them all Into the app and record each of their temperatures. I have trI'd lots of other thermometers but this one was so simple to use and seemed very accurate. I highly recommended. I love how you can use it three different ways and you can just buy disposable covers so you don't have to clean multiple times between users. I received this product through the weeSpring Parent Panel.”
“The Kinsa Quickcare Thermometer is easy to use and perfect for the whole family. You can'take temperatures 3 ways: orally under the arm and rectally. The app is easy to install and convenient to keep track of the temperatures you take. You can make a profile for every member of your family on the app and record temperatures for every member. You can also choose what other symptoms are present when you take a temperature. The app will not only tell you if the temperature is a fever but will make suggestions about what could be causing the temperature and suggest when you may need to see a dr. You can'track what medications are given, including the time and dosage given.
I used thermometer orally for my 10 year old son and under the arm for my 3 year son. It took the temperature quickly and was easy to use for the oral reading. The underarm reading wasn?t as easy or quick. Most of the time when I trI'd to get the underarm temperature I would get an error message which took a while to clear off. The app said the tip was too warm and I needed to wait for it to cool off. When I'm already struggling with getting my chI'd to cooperate for an underarm reading I'don't have time to wait minutes for the thermometer to ?cool down? and reset so I can'try again to get a temperature. I'do not do rectal readings for temperatures so I can't comment on the success or failure rate of those readings. I based my star rating on the issues with underarm readings.
Overall the thermometer is simple to use and the app is very convenient for tracking temperatures for the whole family. Having the temperature reading in the app with times and temperatures tracked is useful because it's so easy to forget what the last temperature was when you're dealing with a sick family member. Being able to look back on the app is even handy for when you or your family member goes to the dr. I'll definitely be keeping this in my medicine cabinet for future use.
I received this thermometer to try out and share my opinion through the weeSpring Parent Panel.”
“I highly recommend the Kinsa QuickCare Thermometer. The included instructions for use were clear and concise. The free Kinsa app is user friendly and allows for a profile of each family member. When connected via bluetooth the app shows the temperature in real time and tracks the temperature and gives you the option to add symptoms. You are also able to track the medication dosages and times given. I found the app extremely useful. The thermometer's flexible tip is very comfortable and the display is bright and easily readable. The display also uses a faces scale to I'dicate the temperature reading (happy face = no fever & sad face = high fever). My daughter's enjoyed the faces scale and watching the app as their temperature was read. The thermometer was accurate and consistent. Again, I highly recommend the Kinsa QuickCare Thermometer. Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this Ear Thermometer.”
“I got a chance to try the Kinsa QuickCare Thermometer as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel, and it is absolutely great. it's coordinating app is very easy to set up and connect with the thermometer. My kids enjoyed getting to pick a picture to represent themselves as well as play the bubble pop game while their temperature was read. My youngest (3) wants to have her temperature taken all the time now just to play the game. My favorite feature, however, is that it tracks previous recordings for you and you can even I'dicate other symptoms to go along with the reading. This is great to jog your memory when visiting the MD, as well as the referenced solutions to the symptoms are wonderful if you're not to the point of needing to visit the MD.”
