“This thermometer arrived at my house at just the right time. We had a fairly healthy winter when all of a sudden all 3 kids were sick. The Kinsa helped me keep track of everyone! I have an 8 month old, 3 year old and 6 year old. It was so helpful to keep track of whose temperature I took and what it was as they were all at various stages of the illness. I was particularly concerned about my 8 month old as this was her first illness. The symptom tracker and advice portion of the app helped me make the decision to take her to the pediatrician. The app was consistent and reliable every time. I had an older version of a Kinsa thermometer when they first came out and the improvements to the reliability in connectivity were evident! “This thermometer has so many great features. The thermometer requires you to use an app but the setup was so easy and quick and the app is very user friendly. I was able to set up a profile for each chI'd, so I love how this thermometer is able to keep a record of information for my entire family. This made it'so I'didn't have to remember anything because the app kept track of everything for me. The display wI'dow on the thermometer is large and lights up, which make it nice for taking temperatures at night. When you're ready to take the temperature just pull up the app, turn on Bluetooth, and in just a few seconds you have a temperature. I'm a mom with little kids so I loved how my chI'd's temperature is taken quickly, accurately, and transfers the information straight to the app for me. Once the app read the temperature it then provided me with helpful information. The app told me if my chI'd had a fever, if I should be concerned, what to do next, and how to soothe my chI'd's symptoms. My favorite feature was a graph that tracked my chI'd's temperature. I was able to see the dates, temperatures, and whether the temperature was a high fever, fever, or normal. There is also a resource tabs where I can'track symptoms, medications, illnesses, and write notes. I have a newborn baby, so I have had to take a rectal temperature many times. It would have been nice if disposable covers would have been provided for the times I needed to take a rectal temperature. Other than that, I am very satisfI'd with his thermometer and am amazed at home much it can do. I would highly recommend this thermometer! “The only thing worse than having a sick chI'd is not being able to get an accurate temperature reading so you can handle the situation appropriately. I have trI'd several thermometers, all with little to no success. The chI'd ends up squI'ming and crying while the thermometer takes a minute or more to determine their temperature (particularly from an underarm reading) and I usually end up having to ball park it because the thermometer just never stays put.
Well, no more!! I LOVE the Kinsa thermometer! It takes a fast, accurate reading and is done before they even know you are taking it. My kids (6 and 3) enjoyed it'so much they started using it to take each others? temperature for fun. They love the emojis each I'dividual gets to choose and the bubbles on the app screen which distract them while the thermometer is doing its' job.
I also loved the app tracking system. It is a perfect way for me to keep track of their temps over the course of an illness.
My other favorite part of the Kinsa app is the ability for me to track medication dosing. We all know when you have a sick chI'd you are frequently working on little sleep and I ended up asking myself ?did I give him/her their medication already?? or ?what time did they have their last dose of X??. Now, the app will organize all of that for me which will ensure I am handling their medication and dosing them safely and appropriately. It will even remI'd you if another dose is due! There are other great features too, such as the symptom checker which will give you guidance on potential diagnoses and if/when you should be concerned and contact your pediatrician.
Although I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to test the Kinsa thermometer as part of the Wee Spring Parent Panel, I would certainly not give it a glowing review if the product was not the real deal. As a parent, I rely on other parents' experience to help me spend my money wisely on tools that work. I can confidently say that you will not be disappointed with the Kinsa thermometer.”
“I received the thermometer for my honest opinion to review through weeSpring Parent Panel. I have always used a digital ear thermometer with my three kids, aside from when they were little babies. I tested this thermometer out on my 10, 5 and 2 year old. The 2 year old was not a fan of having to keep it under his tongue so that made it difficult to get an accurate reading. My other two were fine with it. The thermometer seemed to give a quick and accurate temperature reading. The app was very useful in recording the temperatures and keeping track of them over time. This would be my favorite feather in that I found that it was very helpful and easy to use. I would definitely recommend this thermometer and app for parents'of either young chI'dren, or a little order. The in between toddlers might have a little difficult for this type of thermometer.”
“I have used at least 3 other thermometers with the kids before I was given this Kinsa QuickCare Thermometer to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. The other thermometers were just okay, nothing spectacular and none of them had apps to go along with it. I ended up being very surprised with how much I liked this Kinsa QuickCare Thermometer. First off you can use it with or without the app, which was easy to fI'd, download, and set up for my iPhone. They have an app for Android as well. I thought I would probably use it more without the app, but after using it a while now the app is very helpful to me. You can'track each family member ( I was able to add all four members, you can add as many as you need) on the app to track their accurate temperature. You can also track medication with the app as well. This was ended up being the most helpful to me. I can'track which med, how much, and what time and continue during the day or night and see when they were due for their next med for each member of the family! As a working mom with 2 kids (a 2 year old and a 6 year old) that usually get sick at the same time I'didn't have to rely on my memory of when they took medications. There is also a Sesame Street theme to use to help my youngest. Everything in one place makes it'so easy! My husband even downloaded the app to use. Now you know that is a win if the husband likes it!”
“I really love this thermometer! The app is so easy to use and effective. I love that I can put all of my chI'dren's information in the app and it keeps track of their different temperatures and the times the temps were taken. I have three kI'dos and honestly, when they are sick, it's so hard to keep track of everything. This thermometer is also super fast! unlike traditional thermometers, I can'take my two-year-olds temperature orally without him throwing a fit. He actually enjoyed it because I let him hold my phone and look at the app while taking his temp.
