We are so sorry to hear about the power issue with your Kinsa QuickCare thermometer. We did recently send a firmware update out to all QuickCare users so the problem could be a failed firmware update that can be recovered through the app.
Please follow these quick steps:
Open your Kinsa app
Tap the Settings gear in the top right corner
Tap Thermometer Recovery
Follow the on-screen instructions

“This thermometer never gives the correct temperature. It sounds off about 1.5 seconds after putting it in the mouth and your actual temp will be much higher than what the thermometer reads. My child had a dangerously high fever but we didn't know it was that bad because this thermometer kept giving us an incorrect reading of almost 3 degrees cooler. Definitely not something you want to happen to your child.”
