“I must say, I didn't have much faith in this product when I set out to purchase it, but at the urging of a co-worker who stated "what do you have to lose?", I decided they were right so I took a chance. I was diagnosed with asthma late in life and as a result, I became lost as to how to effectively manage attacks when they occur. I had the inhaler (50/50 helpful); I had antihistamines (75/25 helpful); a nebulizer (80/20 helpful) and even resorted to natural herbal supplements (no help at all)...nothing was working towards a semi-permanent relief of the problem especially when you add severe allergies to the mix. First day the shift arrived, I watched the video and followed the instructions but got dizzy the first time mainly because I was not use to breathing like that. Not to be deterred, I used it the second day (3 times) and each time the dizziness got less & less as I started to get the hang of it. I've had the shift for just under 2 weeks now and I use it daily; at work, in the car, at home, shopping, etc., and I have noticed a difference. Don't get me wrong, the shift will not and cannot replace medical treatment in times of emergencies but what it CAN do is help delay the on-set of an attack by assisting you to control your breathing by lessenly the beginnings of a panic or anxiety attack which in turn can minimize the severity of asthma. So far, I've had 3 asthma attacks since purchasing the shift and I was able to stave one with the help of the shift. I call that a definite win in my book. My goal is to continue to lessen the need for inhalers while learning how to breath better and I think I'm finally on the way to doing that thanks to the shift.
