“This is a nice looking keyboard. I am using it as a keyboard controller for a couple of Behringer Synths and also using the transport controls to control a Cakewalk DAW. It took a while to find the instructions for setting up Cakewalk control surface to work with the A500, but once I found them it was a snap! They keys feel good, but are not particularly durable (I am already seeing some keytop scratching from my fingernails - I'm a classical guitarist). I'm using the A500 with USB signal and power (and MIDI DIN out). I find that the A500 is emitting some electrical noise on the USB power line, and this was getting into the audio system, so had to split the USB cable and feed power from another source. Maybe it works ok if one uses a plugpack to power the A500, but the plugpack is an optional extra so I wasn't able to try it. All in all, the keyboard is nice to use and is doing what I need.”
