“I suffer from Endometriosis as well as other related conditions like pelvic floor dysfunction, IC, IBS, chronic ovarian cysts, and fibromyalgia. I was in the middle of one of my flare ups that I get each month for 1-2 weeks of severe, debilitating, 'round the clock pain. I had been trying everything I have for pain management; pain meds, lidocaine patches, heating pad, meditation, distracting myself on anything else than my pain, and a trip to my massage therapist for an hour, and reiki. Nothing was working and I was on my last bit of strength before throwing up the white flag to go to the ER for an IV of morphine to basically knock me out so I don't feel the pain anymore! My pain went down from a 10 to practically a 0! My body felt so intensely relaxed as if it had never felt a day of pain! I hadn't been able to sleep for 3 days because of pain. I call it painsomnia. Where I'm exhausted from the pain but the pain wont let me sleep or it wakes me up. But after my 30 minute soak in the tub, as soon as I crawled into bed...I fell right to sleep and slept for a full 8 hours! A rarity for me, especially during a flare up!
