A - THE ORIGINAL was the first product developed when Johan Bülow had the original idea to coat licorice with chocolate. People were at first skeptical about the idea, but the popular product A soon saw the light of day. The combination of sweet licorice, exclusive milk chocolate and fine licorice powder is according to many instantly addictive.

“I absolutely love these sweets! I first tasted them over 15 years ago (when my oldest daughter lived in Copenhagen.) My sister had heard me talk about them (last year) and bought me some for Christmas. I was worried that they might not live up to expectations (had my memory of them been exaggerated over the years?) But no, they more than lived up to my memory of them! I have ordered them from you twice since then. I'd happily order them on a weekly basis ... but that would be a rather expensive treat! Also, I find it very difficult (impossible!) to confine myself to just 2 or 3 at a time!! To anyone who enjoys liquorice (and likes lovely smooth chocolate) I can not recommend these sweets highly enough. The "Original" are just wonderful !”

“Although I absolutely love your products I must admit to being slightly disappointed with my last order of the original. The individual balls seemed smaller than on previous occasions and therefore not so much surrounding chocolate. I then ordered some samliak which were chunkier and luckily as I remembered them. Still delicious though!”

“I had chocolate liquorice from a sweet stall about 15 years ago and have been looking for it ever since so I was thrilled to discover this. I was not disappointed, it was a more 'grown up' affair but hit the spot!”
