“Well these look really great - good scandi design. I mean it, they would grace any contemporary table. They look GREAT.Then you try to use them - and voila that beautiful matt surface will pick up any oil or fat on your fingers and make a grotesque looking mess all over them - and it is isn't easy to wipe off either -SO heaven forbid you might want to use them while cooking, eating anything with your fingers or even pop a bit of salt and pepper on grilled items on toast.Look if your house has a couple of man-servants - waiters or valets replete with white gloves who will apply your condiments for you then these are what you want.But as I don't run to that - probably because I spent all my money of expensive gorgeous looking but functionally rubbish items.SO for display, to get friends go 'Oh they're nice' - these are wonderful - of course once they pick them up they'll be embarrassed as hell because these seriously make you seem like you haven't washed your hands for a month or so and spent the time since picking up blocks of lard, fixing a gearbox or stopping an oil blow-out.Pity.Oh they do grind salt and pepper well enough - nothing wrong there - the caps on the bottom are way too narrow to remove easily tho' - would be better 2 or 3 times thicker - but that would have spoiled the aesthetic.Belong in a gallery - not a kitchen !”
