That's no good. What deodorant are you coming from? If you are coming from a deodorant that uses Bicarb soda, Magnesium hydroxide or alcohol there can be an extended transition time to Lavilin. This is because those ingredients are alkaline substance, meaning that it has a pH that is higher than 7.0. The pH of healthy skin is slightly acidic, with a normal range of about 4.5 to 5.5. When the skin is exposed to an alkaline substance it can disrupt the acidic mantle. The acid mantle of the skin is a thin, slightly acidic film that helps to protect the skin from external irritants and bacteria. Disrupting the pH balance of the skin can weaken the acid mantle, making the skin more susceptible to damage and infection. This disruption can make the skin more prone to irritation, dryness, and other types of damage. It is not uncommon for people to experience some degree of skin irritation or dryness when using products that contain magnesium hydroxide, bicarb soda, and alcohol, especially if they have sensitive skin or if they use the product excessively.
