Hold with one hand and lean slightly forwards over the aerator so that you can apply gently downward pressure on the shaft with the other hand. Now walk forwards and aerate. At the end of the run, pull it up and DROP it into position for the next run (watch your toes though); this sticks it well into the lawn ready to aerate....it's that simple.TIP: If you've got a lot of lawn to do cut some foam pipe insulation and cover the handle - very comfy

Use the product in my own garden only. Not the easiest item to put together and the spanner provided was not Man enough for the job. Other than that the product is fine and easy to use although the spike covers provided do not always stay in place.

I was surprised with the robustness of this. Easy to put together though I used my own wrench. I think youd struggle a little bit with the supplied one. There definitely is a knack to using which I only really got at the end of dowm my 120m2 lawn.

Fiddly to put together glad of the plastic caps on the tines. Handle pole a little bit off on alignment between;holes. Not heavy enough to do job without a lot of leaning but followed tips of other people and borrowed weights from son-in-law to put at bottom of handle and then it was fine and did the job well on softish ground.
