Hold with one hand and lean slightly forwards over the aerator so that you can apply gently downward pressure on the shaft with the other hand. Now walk forwards and aerate. At the end of the run, pull it up and DROP it into position for the next run (watch your toes though); this sticks it well into the lawn ready to aerate....it's that simple.TIP: If you've got a lot of lawn to do cut some foam pipe insulation and cover the handle - very comfy

The aerator does exactly what it says on the tin and was easy to assemble and use. I would recommend this to anyone looking to do a proper lawn care program.

So much easier to use than I feared it might be. Bought it half expecting to use it only once before it languished in the shed forever more but Ive actually been using this regularly! Its a little over-priced for what it is (I mean the constituent parts) but it seems robust enough and does the job well.

Used twice already and although takes a while to put together once this is done it is sturdy and does the job so much quicker than forking.

Works well but the handle is a little flimsy. Takes 45 min to assemble.
