Spikes are large and strong. The sandals seem to leave pretty good holes. The straps, however, are a weak point. The straps need to be fairly snug to keep the sandal in place while using them but the plastic clips are not up to the job. One clip broke on first use. I’m likely to replace the straps with ones with metal cam fasteners.

Good for aerating. The straps do need to be on super tight otherwise the sandals come off. The straps could be improved to make them more secure. Best done when the soil is soft. I found it easier to take one short pace and bring the other foot level with the lead foot and repeat rather than normal walking steps as shown in the video.

I bought the aerator shoes a while back but have only just used them for the first time. It was a lot easier than I expected because I could walk around fairly normally in them. The straps on one boot kept coming off to start with but with a few adjustments seemed to settle. Good purchase.
