Supplied in three parts, the box contains the connectable solar panel unit along with a ground stake made up of two sections. The solar unit also features a multi function button on the rear which lets you choose between 8 different settings, including static, flashing and twinkling. The unit is IP44 rated for outdoor use whatever the weather, but we do recommend periodically giving the panel a wipe with a clean cloth to ensure maximum efficiency.

“Replacement solar panel for rope lights arrived promptly. I would rather not have had to replace the original after a little more than a year. The panel had completely misted over and no longer charged properly. I'm hoping the new design (I see the cable at least has changed, and the panel seems ultra-shiny!) lasts longer.”

It sounds like a loose connection and you shouldn't have to go to all that trouble each time you would like to illuminate your lovely lights. “Bought two new solar panels for some festoon lights that I purchased from Lights4Fun some time ago. The screw covers over the connections don't screw tight (something must have changed in the manufacturing process) and now the panels have stopped working. I can only think they must have got moisture inside.”
