Each of the 20 paper orbs houses a warm white LED and sits on a 4m discreet, clear cable with a 3m lead between the plug and the first lantern. These lanterns do require some self-assembly, but don’t worry if you’ve no flat pack experience, they’re really easy to do. First hook each light into the frame, then pop inside your lantern. “They look very good BUT they are tricky and very difficult to put together. I am very practical and handy but needed a button hook to insert the frame and a screwdriver to enlarge the hole for the lamp.Lead to a few broken fingernails!!”

“Don't worry about other reviewers saying degrees are needed to assemble these. The lights snap easily into the holders which look a bit like granny's curlers, then the lantern needs pulling into shape and the 'curler' fits inside easily. Each one takes a couple of minutes to do, so for a 20 light string then allow 40 mins, or take it easy and allow an hour. Simple! Once assembled they are lovely. They give off a soft glow, you wouldn't read a book in this level of light but nor are you supposed to, they are decorative and look fabulous strung around a teen's bedroom and I will be buying more for the summer and use them in the garden. The lanterns look like they are made of paper but they are actually durable thin plastic. The wire has a little plastic connector on one end which I presume is where you attach another string but I haven't tried . Totally recommend.”

We do list the dimensions (5cm Height x 5cm Diameter) near the top of the product page where it provides further information on how long the cable is, that a plug is included, and the maximum you can extend the display to.
