“This starter kit is an amazing idea. It looks nice, it's solar, it works ... there is not much more to ask of it. My only critic is : the light does not come from the candle, it comes from the top of the lantern (which is where the solar battery is included). Therefore, on the small lantern, it looks perfect : the reflection of the light on the candle is very impressive. However : on the tall lantern, the light is too far away from the candle : so you can really tell it is not the candle that lights but the solar system on top of it. To my taste, the candle should have been taller, the length between the light and the candle should be the same as of the small lantern. That way no one could tell we are cheating :D.”

“I was happy with the robustness of the light but it may be a bit of a contradiction to say that they are a little lightweight. I bought one of the tall ones to stand on a table but it could be blown off in stronger winds. The flickering affect is attractive & the lights look good & seem to be quite waterproof - but time will truly tell on that one. Overall I am pleased with my purchase & it is only the 'wind' issue that stopped me giving them a top rating.”
