They are totally safe to be used near fabrics and furnishings, as the LED bulbs use minimal amounts of energy and never give off any heat. The lights have a 3 metre clear cable between the transformer and the start of the lights.

“I looked for and found the exact set of indoor lights that will just set off a particular tree at christmas. The lights were the only set that were light and flexible like they used to be. All the others seemed to be indoor/outdoor which meant that the cable had to be thicker to withstand the worst possible weather and, as such were, from experience, thicker and less maluable. Well, they were exactly what we wanted and worth every penny. Thanks.”
