With a solar panel output of 6v/100mA, this solar security light is IP44 rated for outdoor use and is fully weather resistant, even in harsh UK winters. The unit is powered by 3 x AA 750mAh rechargeable batteries, which are supplied along with screws, a mounting bracket and installation instructions. On a full charge, the security light will illuminate for 16 hours before it requires charging again, which it will do automatically during daylight hours, even in cloudy conditions.

“I have had one some years now. The clip on the back does need careful handling as mine broke off too. However I stuck it back and it has performed well in front of my porch to welcome visitors at night. It works well all year and has given no problems. The rubber boot on top of the electrical unit has now perished but it carries on working and a drop of silicon rubber sealant should sort it out.”

“Bought one of these earlier in the year and took it down to our house in South West France. It's a brilliant security light and so good that our French neighbours have asked us to buy a couple, so these are now also heading down there.”

“Excellent light ...put one in my sheep shed, hen house and garden shed and whey work great, give good light and have an overriding button to turn it on or off as you want. I have just ordered 5 more for other sheds, outhouses etc! Highly recommend this product for this use.”

“the clip on the back of the light broke off when fitting to bracket,the sensor does not work the manual light setting works ok, would not recommend this product to anybody not fit for purpose”
