With a solar panel output of 6v/100mA, this solar security light is IP44 rated for outdoor use and is fully weather resistant, even in harsh UK winters. The unit is powered by 3 x AA 750mAh rechargeable batteries, which are supplied along with screws, a mounting bracket and installation instructions. On a full charge, the security light will illuminate for 16 hours before it requires charging again, which it will do automatically during daylight hours, even in cloudy conditions.

“This product has been an utter waste of money. In summary, it holds little charge; the light soon fades to nothing after just a few triggers at night. It also triggers erratically, coming ON when there is no apparent movement outside. The light housing is flimsy, being of lightweight plastic. I think it should be rated with a MINUS star.”
