“Now using the new Hound Heater Deluxe doghouse heaters from LCS, with fans in each, I wanted to avoid using straw, which I've used for 40 years, because it is dusty, and ordered the Red Cedar Bedding. True, they are only mildly dusty. However, the description was not correct. The cedar ribbons don't stay together as well as straw, they move easily on the floor so there is always some wood floor showing. Worse, it readily sticks to my setter's hair and gets carried out into the run. If it's dry, I sweep it up and put in back in the house. Lastly, I had to buy an 8" needle-nose in order to pull the ribbon clumps out of the box in order to put them in the doghouses. My doghouses are in the garage, and the heaters work well, so the houses are usually above freezing, so I will probably stay with the bedding despite the above limitations.”

“I used to use towels, blankets, cedar shavings or whatever I had around. Switched to red cedar bedding this year and it is obvious that my dogs prefer it to what I was using. No more cheap, wet stinky bedding for me.”

“The bedding keeps my dogs cozy in their insulated houses throughout winter. Smells great and is easy to handle. The dogs use does break down the ribbons into smaller pieces and they do end up tracking a certain amount out side the house, even after the ribbons break down. That said, I've been happy with this product for decades.”

“Work great and not too small They ride up around the dog when they lay down and coats are glossy. No parasites or pests Much better than the chip type shaving”
