“I have two of this armor vests. They work great for protecting my female GSP’s in heavy cover. I did have one dog that must have caught on a tree branch or heavy brush and tore a strap off along with the liner on one leg hole. I didn’t see this when it happened dew to the heavy cover. I’m glad the strap tore loose or she may have hurt herself trying to get loose. I have be ordering a replacement. These vest are the best I can find for a large upland dog. My GSP Female’s are 70lbs each. All muscle! Thanks for making this fine product! Kirk Ulven”

“After just a few hunts the stitching has started to pull out, especially where the plastic clips attach to the vest. The stitching on the side of the vest is also starting to unravel. We hunt our dogs almost daily and this vest is not well suited for hard, daily use. Lion Country Supply was gracious in replacing both the vests we purchased.”

“Compared to the lightweight Dog Armor this looks to be a considerable improvement. Larger straps and heavier material make for a better fit and hopefully longer wear. The Dog Armor (lighter weight version) is good for warm weather but mine is starting to show signs of wear where the buckles connect after a busy first season. These vests provide good protection and help me keep track of the dogs in the aspen thickets.”

“Best vest I’ve used- good protection in front. Front buckle kept getting unbuckled in heavy cover. Fabric made his front armpit really raw so took off last day. Otw really well made”

“My ESS doesn’t mind this heavy weight vest. It didn’t slow him down and definitely protects him in the “stubble”. The large barely fits my 60# male at the max strap length.”
