“This is my dogs secound vest,I keep the old one for back up,its 2 1/2 yrs old and used hard,Maryland thorns are mean,Gus is very protected,you can tell by the amount of wear on the vest,not on Gus,great protection for a hard hunting bird dog.”

“After just a few hunts the stitching has started to pull out, especially where the plastic clips attach to the vest. The stitching on the side of the vest is also starting to unravel. We hunt our dogs almost daily and this vest is not well suited for hard, daily use. Lion Country Supply was gracious in replacing both the vests we purchased.”

“Have been using this vest for years - great overall fit and durability. Only negative is with the current ones I bought. Really poor stitching on the buckle straps. Blew out after one hunt and had to re-stitch myself.”

“I’ve been using this vest for years. It fits well and has been extremely durable. However, the stitching on the buckle straps is very minimal now, and if you hunt heavy cover, your dog will blowout the straps with relative ease. I’m sure it’s an oversight in QC, but needs to get fixed. Side note - LCS stands behind their products and immediately replaced a vest for me. Great service”

“The vest performs admirably - I thought Setters with their long hair would provide a little more protection that a short haired pointer. Ellie is my first setter and has not learned to run in stubble without getting cut up. The vest is a nice combination of visual aide and thorny habitat protection.”
