Works as advertised. I now know where he is and as a result I'm not recalling him all the time, possibly off of birds.

I like the sound of the bell but the G3 gives you some control advantages. The quiet intervals between beeps give you a chance to call or direct the dog while he's running. A bell sound is constant and they have a hard time hearing you over the noise. The G3 seems to be tough enough but takes a little while to get used to the on/off button.

I have 6 of them. Have had them for about 7+ years. Some older models of beepers as well as the latest G3’s. Been very reliable and easy to operate. I typically just use the beep and not the hawk scream option. Use 2 or 3 beeps while running and a single beep while on point. I have 3 Brittany’s but typically hunt them one at a time.

The beeper would not kick over to point mode, and was constantly turning off on its own. Tried a new battery no luck. LCS was great I was a couple of days into a hunting trip I contacted them, they immediately sent a dogtra beeper. I would say buyer beware on the tritronics may uncle had to send his back to cabelas with the same issues.

Having used another band with limited luck for performance I switched to the G-3 beeper. World of difference. My Napoleon has short legs and is mostly a rich color black so I don't always have a visual and now I no longer have to guess if he's on point. The best part of the beeper is I got it from Lion Country, you can't beat the friendly service from the very know ledged staff.
