“The good- holster is well made and will likely outlast the Garmin. The bad- I had the holster attached to my belt like you see it advertised. The first time I went into the woods to my pointed setter, it got hung on somthing I suspect it was aspen saplings or logging slash. The the snaps didnt hold and my Garmin 550 plus handheld was lost. Luckily I had it paired to my Garmin watch so when I got to far from the handheld laying on the forest floor it lost connection and my watch vibrated. Saying it lost connection to handheld. After about 10 minute search I found the unit but nolonger trusted the holster in the grouse woods. I ended up starting to carry it top strap belt on my vest and puting a key ring on the handheld and attached it to a lanyard on my vest as back up. See photo.”

“I was looking at multiple options for a better way to carry my 550 pro. I decided since I buy most of my stuff from LCS I would check to see what options they have and found this. It’s hard to beat the look and durability of leather. After using this for a few months during training, I am very happy with my choice. I can hang this from my belt or from different locations on my vest and don’t have it hanging my from neck or getting tangled in the brush. I’m excited to put some miles on it this upcoming hunting season.”
