I didn't need anything fancy and when I called Lion Country Supply to inquire as to what would work best, they advised the LCS .22 Cal. Starter Pistol. It worked just as I needed it to for our "Live fire" training with the K9 Training Group.

Not worth the low cost. Very inexpensively made.

Twice I have fired this starter pistol after a full reload, and ALL 8 OF THE BLANKS went off! I t could be malfunctioning blanks, but I have experienced several mechanical device misfires as well.

This is a good starter pistol for dog training. It came well oiled. It's got a nice weight in your hand yet not heavy. Dogs definitely respond well to this, just fire the pistol and they're off...

Bought 2 for a hunt test to use for a few young puppies. They both fell apart, judges kept putting back together but kept falling apart, having to find pieces in the grass. Hopefully the more expensive ones are more reliable.
