Good sturdy piece of kit. Quite stiff for the birds to open, I don't think the bantam cockerel manages it but the heavier birds seem ok

Quick delivery and great hen feeder, we left it wedged open to get them used to it and they are all doing it now. Not rat going to get through that! Would recommend

Needs to be on level ground to work best and what I like about it is that it keeps the contents dry.

Very happy, this feeder has cut off the rats’ food supply so they are now getting caught in the traps rather than feasting on our chicken food!

Lovely & sturdy, quiet treadle action, looks rodent proof, unfortunately my 3 hens are showing no interest in it despite my putting treats on the treadle to encourage them! Hopefully they will eventually work it out!

The hens appear happy with their new feeder so if they’re happy so am I.

Good feeder. Some chickens don’t like the idea of moving parts, so this doesn’t suit all chickens. Older chickens may be less inclined to use. Pros, it’s waterproof, holds a lot of feed, good solid construction, stable, open and closes quietly. Cons, the bars could be longer (my Marans stand too far away to be able to press the treadle), the back plate could be shorter so more feed sits higher where the chickens can see it. I have 5 hens and still think two feeders are needed to stop hoarding of food. Over all good item.

Feeder arrived promptly and appears to be a good solid design. Chickens are still getting used to it but are feeding from it now although still have a weight in place to keep the door open.
