“The Elk has safety concerns. It needs to have an inflatable backing/sides, side grabs and a small sliding board. I'm an RN and Exercise Physiologist and am a stickler to following instructions but my husband still falls off and it requires much effort getting him balanced while inflating. It would be easier to access if it had a sliding board. When inflating the first level it is difficult to balance the individual and they feel like they are falling off and have no back/side support or grab support. The current design requires 2 people and if you have 2 people you don't need the elk. My husband fell off the 1st 2 times and the compressor only was able to inflate once before requiring a charge. It's a great idea, very overpriced and needs a lot of safety tweaking. The camel may be the safer route.”
“A great product that does exactly what it says it will do. I was quite impressed the first time I tested it out after it got here to the house. I got it covered now the next time my wife falls down again. I cannot get her up without the Elk. I do not have to worry about that now and have much piece of mind knowing that I can get her up myself now. This is a must have product for any household that has a falling down person living there. And it is much easier on the fallen person in that there is not much hossing and tugging on them getting up again.”
