“We love livie and Luca shoes. We always buy the Gemma for the school year because of the thick sole that is great for the playground and comfort fit. This year I also purchased the Astrid. My daughter wore them a handful of times and kept coming home from school with bandaids on her heels and would complain that they hurt. There is something about the fit or the material that rubs against her heel that doesn’t happen with the Gemma style. Although they are darling I would not purchase this style again in the future because of the issues we are having. It almost seems like they run slightly small in size.”

Oh, no! I'm so sorry that the shoes are causing your little one discomfort, that's the last thing we ever want to hear! The Astrids do tend to run a little bit smaller than the Gemmas just because they are on a different sole type. We always recommend measuring your little sole's feet and comparing it to the sizing chart at https://www.livieandluca.com/pages/size-chart to make sure you always get the right fit, especially because sizing can vary based on sole type.
