“Very nice rod again as you would expect from Loop. Nice 8 1/2 foot length in #2 weight whereas most other brand #2 weights come in at 7' to 7.5 feet. However I do prefer my Evotec Cast #2 medium fast rod. The rod specifications are identical apart from the action. The medium fast action just adds that little extra oopmh but there's not really that much in it. I'd give the medium action an 8/10 and the medium fast a 9/10 but I would happily fish small streams with either.”

“This 2 wt medium action rod is terrific. It responds best (for me) to a slower cast: the line stripped on the previous cast flows out smoothly. I used it recently swinging a soft hackle to sporadic rises of a few brown trout about 20 m down and across from me. The first brown, about 20 cm, came in without a fuss. The second, about twice as large, had more say but the rod prevailed. I use a 2 wt Cortland Finesse Trout II line and have no complaints. It's a sweet rod.”
