Opti NXT Double Hand Rod Reviews

5 Rating 4 Reviews
1st-Excellent design in the case so it doesn't roll around, this Angil case keeps it flat on a surface and manageable. 2nd easy to line up all four pieces with the fine print and lineup points fits well together. 3rd impressively light for his weight class compared to other two handers of the same class. 4th paired with a 4 inch real and lined up with the bridge tributary 575 grn was the sweet spot working it all day long without fatigue.

I recently bought the 14" #9 rod. I am delighted with it. The power to weight ratio is astonishing. This must be one of the lightest rods in its class but there is no compromise of power. it is such a pleasure to fish all day with it and not feel any kind of strain. The overall balance is exceptional. The casting action is very progressive from tip to mid section with plenty of oomph in the butt. This must be one of the most forgiving rods too for mediocre casters like me. I really cannot recommend this rod highly enough. Now to decide...the 12' #6 or the 12'6" #9...

Sometimes you pick up something that just feels “right”. I have just spent my first season using a 12’ 4” 7 weight and I have really enjoyed using it. Light, responsive with plenty of feedback. Also very very well made for a factory rod, far better than other makes, and good cork too.

I got the 14’0″ #9 rod and it is not a problem to lift 3D sinking-heads, also under harder stream current. A good power horse.
