“I have a 590F. Casts very well, powerful rod, loves an increased tempo and heavy line feeding. Pulling line on the back cast really loads the rod up and shoots line in perfect, tight loops. Backbone is strong enough for even big rainbows and sea run trout. My only complaint is that is that it struggles in anything but the slightest wind, But that’s a problem with 5 weight single hand rods in general. This one just seems to suffer a bit morw in that one area than my other 5wr rods. That said, those other 5wt rods I speak of are double the price, and no more accurate. Loop makes a fantastic rod.”
“Please!!!! You need to understand the fact that selling a Rod for a customer, comes with a reel!!!
So how do you want us to know wich one to get if you don't tell us wich one to Buy????”
Hi Leslie,
Thanks for the feedback.
Rod and reel combinations vary greatly depending on things like species, type of water, skill of angler and personal preference etc, so we purposely don't give a specific reel recommendation with each rod.
Our team are on hand to advise on these very things though. You simply have to drop them a message in the chat box or via email to info@looptackle.se, and we'll be able to help you find the right reel for you.
Thanks,
LOOP
“The 9’6” 7wt Opti K2 is an awesome little trout Spey rod! Paired with the OPST 250gr. Commando Smooth integrated line and Airflo 10’ 7ips sink tip, this rod loads up nicely and absolutely launches small streamers. I have tried this same setup on other 7 weights, and so far this rod handles it the best. It also performs well while fighting fish.”
