“LOOP Opti NXT 13,2" 4-piece 27gram. This rod has turned out to be a small revelation in my view on doublehanded rods. Both in regards to action and speed but much more in terms of casting technique and energy saving. It is not the very fast/ultra fast rod, which is my previous used 2-handers. Neither is it a slow and deep rod. Medium to fast is LOOPs definition, I would call it Fast. The Opti NXT casts very easy and with very low power application, and it seems very true to weight recommendations. I don't feel need to apply less or more weight in the line. With this rod I can fish all day long and find huge pleasure in delivering great and easy casts to the other river bank and focus on fishing. Fishing meditation at its best :) Skjern Aa River in Denmark. Medium sized slow running river. Underhand casting heavy tube flies using Guideline 4D Compact 20gr head (5,4 meter/17,7 feet) + 4D Compact 7 gr head 3,6 meters/12 feet).”
