The drags are great, with plenty of power, but not snatchy.
Easy to change spools and the large arbor makes retrieving quick.
As loops “budget” reel, it’s up there with much more expensive reels from other manufacturers.
I think a few more will find their way into my possession.”
“Retrieves like butter (4-6wt). I started with a $30 reel borrowed from my dad. Boy oh boy was this an upgrade. I got it for a FF class in college and have really enjoyed it. It retrieves really smoothly, it's got a quiet and pleasant sound when it retrieves that I really like, and changing spools is just a couple of turns on the side. The only downside is that there aren't more spools available today, but I look forward to them being in stock.
The difference between a dirt cheap reel and this reel is night and day. It makes me happy to use it.”
