“Because our needs were very challenging and diverse, and due to the volume of research gathered in our mattress search, we knew that we were going to need to create a detailed and comprehensive review to serve other people like us. Although that review video is still in process, we’re pleased to provide this very positive and shorter review summary here. In short, Luma made the entire process a breeze for us, beginning with the mattress selector survey on their site, followed by their easy-to-understand mattress descriptions, convenient payment options, fast shipping after building our mattress to order, and their thoughtful follow-up communication to be sure we were delighted after delivery and setup. Admittedly we were shopping with a high level of scrutiny and urgency, with a long list of things we were looking for like a quality bed that offers 1) maximum value, 2) ample support for proper spinal alignment, 3) pressure-relieving comfort due to previous injuries, 4) easy adjustability, if needed, for the comfort layer, 5) proven durability to ensure the mattress will last a long time, 6) hypoallergenic, 7) no odors or off-gasing…meaning that it’s made using the world’s best natural mattress material (latex) in a stretch-knit cover, 8) works optimally with an adjustable base, 9) comes with an outstanding trial/exchange/return policy and warranty, 10) affordably priced, and 11) highly rated (by customers, the BBB, and by knowledgeable people without affiliate bias on sites like The Mattress Underground). Luma was the ONLY option that checked all of our boxes. For those who are thinking of using a Luma mattress on an adjustable base (like we were), do yourself a huge favor and go ALL latex. No other mattress material will support your body better while also perfectly conforming to the bend angles of the base when in non-flat positions. We opted for a split king bed due to my wife’s and my unique needs, and there is no better mattress material to use in a split king setup on an adjustable base than latex…especially with a stretch-knit cover (like the Tencel cover on the Luma vs. the thicker quilted cotton/wool varieties). A stretch-knit cover over the squared-off edges of latex foam minimizes the perceived gap between the two twin xl mattresses. Additionally, we were quite surprised to discover that our latex pillows feel even better to our necks and shoulders when used with our Luma mattress (when compared to using them on our old mattress). We suspect that it’s due to the Talalay comfort layer. From two adults with very challenging sleep needs who hadn’t slept consistently well for a long time (prior to receiving our Luma All Latex Slumber System), this was an answer to our prayers and is already a huge blessing. You nailed it, Luma. Thank you very much.”

“This is by far the most comfortable/high quality bed I’ve ever seen. I used to love pillow top beds because of their pillowy comfort (until they wear out or sag). The all latex slumber system with the plush talalay latex option for the top is amazing. Super soft and plush yet still feels very supportive. Will be recommending this bed to many people.”

“Finally a mattress that actually relieves most of my fibromyalgia pain. This is the 3rd mattress I’ve purchased on line and I wish I’d have found this one first. It would have saved me a ton of work and headaches returning and sending the other 2 back. So far it has been a Godsend. I have less trouble sleeping at night because I don’t have as much pressure point pain. My headaches are still a problem, but the intensity in the morning has greatly improved. While I know I’ll never be symptom free, Luma Sleep has really been helpful in the management of my chronic pain. I’d give a 5 star except for the total thickness of the set was only 11 inches. I would have preferred a 12 inch mattress. That 1 inch might have been enough to alleviate more pressure pain. I am considering buying an additional 3 inch topper to add to my set.”

“I purchased the plush talalay latex topper. My husband and I are side sleepers and skinny and I can’t imagine getting a topper any firmer than this for us. We are still getting used to the mattress because we haven’t had it very long. The customer service had been excellent with this company. I have done online chat and the people have been very quick with their response and very helpful. When I called, the same person always answered the phone and he was very polite, friendly and helpful. Great job Luma.”
