“Tried an Awara latex mattress before the Luma, and the Awara was sooooo firm and made my hip hurt since I’m a side sleeper. The Luma is so much more bouncy (not to say it’s has more or less motion isolation than the Awara, that’s probably about the same) and I would highly recommend the plush hybrid, it’s not to soft, it has perfect support. I think the Luma is the softest latex one on the market for the price. My parents even purchased a talalay topper after feeling my mattress. Also, the edge support is FANTASTIC. I did hours of research on mattresses so I feel confident in my review especially after trying another latex one first for comparison. Side sleepers need a more plush mattress to prevent hip pain. Talalay does the trick for the topper since I got the hybrid Luma. The only thing is I don’t believe it’s like 100% organic like some other companies are but it certainly seems based on my research to be healthier than memory foam (sort of a heated debate about memory foam being healthy or not). I switched over to latex because I don’t like that feeling of being stuck in one position with memory foam as well as latex being healthier. I like that your body lays more on top of the mattress with latex rather than sinking in with memory foam. I expect the luma hybrid to last a long time too. I’m surprised there aren’t more reviews for Luma, I wound hope it catches on well as a company. Customer service over the phone was pretty good too.”

“I'm getting better sleep after getting my Luma mattress. The latex is definitely cooler than the memory foam topper I had on my older mattress. Being a side sleeper I ended up exchanging my medium Luma topper for a soft topper. The medium density mattress with the soft topper seems to be the right combo to support my spine but have enough give for my shoulder and hip bones to prevent pressure points.”

“When it was time to replace our 20 year old innerspring mattress I got online to educate myself since mattress shopping has changed in the last 2 decades. We did visit 1 store. That visit was enough for us to know we were definitely going to use an online manufacturer. We knew nothing about the mattresses being sold at stores and neither did the sales associates. I quickly found an online site called the Mattress Underground. Here I received my education. We considered numerous online mattress companies. One by one we discounted them for one reason or another. Kept coming back to Luma. But wait a minute, I discovered another possible mattress company. Then back to Luma. Definitely Luma now. But which mattress? We discounted Hybrid Slumber System because both I and hubby have low BMIs. Felt we didn’t need zoning. The all latex was appealing but scary for couple in late 60s who had no experience with latex. The Natural Latex Hybrid seemed perfect for us. So now, after 5 weeks of sleeping on it, still loving it! My hubby can sleep anywhere on any thing. Me, sleep problems my whole life. Even on meds, I couldn’t sleep at least one night a week. So far with this mattress, I’m still waiting for first night of non sleep! We have plush talalay Pillow Top. I have never felt the talalay bounciness some people describe. Could be my low BMI. I just feel cradled and extremely comfortable instead of tossing and turning trying to get comfortable. This is a nice mattress for us in every way! Also can’t forget that they offer white glove delivery which we are dependent on. Luma covers all their bases!”
