“This is almost a 5 star mattress topper, but there are a couple of things that make it less than perfect.First off, this is very high quality. It is well made, durable, and heavy enough that you don't have to use the elastic straps to hold it in place. It's approximately 1.5 inches thick. There is a slight sheep smell from the wool, but it doesn't bother me at all. It definitely does sleep cooler than most mattress toppers, and the materials used are definitely better for your health than chemical-laden memory foam toppers.The only problem with this topper, and the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is that is doesn't provide enough cushion, and the way the baffles are constructed, you can feel the seams if you're a bony person like myself. 1.5 inches of wool just isn't enough. It compresses too easily. It might be better if it were constructed with staggered tufts instead of baffles so I don't feel the seams, but I still don't think it would be comfortable enough. I think a 3 inch tufted wool topper would be better for more cushion.If you're looking for more cushion and want to keep it all natural and organic, you may want to spend extra on a thick wool topper (around 3 inches), or get a 2 or 3 inch natural latex foam topper. Either way, this is a high quality mattress topper, but don't expect it to provide a lot of cushion.”

“I just got out of the hospital and have lost some muscle... sleeping on my side hurts my thigh/hip bone....I just had my most enjoyable night's sleep because of this product. Just enough softness to releive pain......It is worth every penny. I am so glad that I bought this. No toxic gases it feels so healthy and peaceful. Love it”

“Love this topper. Very cool to the touch, no chemical smells (no sheep smell for that matter) and it doesn't slip around on top of the mattress thanks to the two elastic straps that go underneath the entire width of the mattress. My husband sleeps hot and he finally stopped tossing and turning. I was on the fence for a while b/c it is a bit pricey but well worth the investment.”

“I went back and forth between getting a memory foam topper or a down topper for our bed. I was leaning toward memory foam, but then I remembered how much I hated the off-gassing period...months and months of a chemical smell. I love the smell and feel of down, but I wasn't sure how much padding it would give since down flattens out very fast. In the "people who looked at this product also looked at" bar, I noticed this wool mattress topper. I LOVE wool, so after reading the reviews I figured I would give it a try. I'm so glad that I did-- this topper adds just the right amount of padding. It doesn't lose its shape, and after several weeks I'm so pleased with this purchase.”

“We bought a new mattress that I describe as "the cement slab", but my husband describes it as "just a little bit too firm". Our solution was to buy a topper. I read enough about toppers to fear gel and VOCs, volatile organic compounds, which is essentially bad for you gases from synthetic products. On my bed, where I have my face directly on it for 8 hours? No, thanks. My research led me to this topper. It fits us perfectly, both in comfort and well being. My only complaint is that I wish it came with a removable 100% cotton cover for washing. I made my own by buying an organic cotton king sheet and adding elastic for it to wrap around the mattress. Tada! Now I have it all!”

“Excellent! My memory foam mattress is no longer hot when I sleep, and I barely sink in at all now from my body heat. It's very soft, but a lot firmer than I would have thought it would make it.I have a bad lower back that and my memory foam mattress was killing my back when sleeping on it for the last 3 years. Now my back is feeling much better from better sleeping posture created by the new wool topper.Definitively worth the $$$ if you are having memory foam problems from body heat build up.I highly recommend it!”

“I bought this because my mattress was firm and I needed a little cushion. It gave me the support I needed it and we love it. Very nice quality and very well made product. There was a little smell but went way after a couple of hours.”

“This has helped our memory foam bed to be less hot, but it's not soft and cushy... has made the bed more firm. we do seem to be sleeping better with it.”
