“Upgraded from the previous model, but it seems to be a few steps backwards. It works well enough, but I'm not a fan of the switch in the wire -- it seems flimsy and crudely designed. It's also needlessly redundant, as I'd much prefer my soiled gloved hands to hit the switch at the battery pack, under my gown, as opposed to near my face. Not sure what the intention was in creating that, but it's a miss in my book. I also miss the option for the short cord, as that was much less cumbersome for keeping the battery in the shirt pocket, but I can roll with it. The light itself is also less bright than the old one, and the spotlight, being slightly larger, has a tendency to get in patients' eyes more often. Overall I'm still partial to Lumadent over other brands out there, but was not particularly pleased with the changes they made.”
