“I had been interested in hair extensions for 2 or 3 years prior to buying my luxies. I have the length, but no volume, and didn't want to spend a lot of money. I started passively looking around online and I came across LuxyHair. I spent maybe 45 minutes on the website, looking at the different options. I have very dark hard (3R) and at first I was going to go with the #2 Dark Brown. Then I found the video on how to find the best color to match your hair and I was so glad that I did!! I instantly switched to the 1C Mocha Brown. I went with the 160g as my hair isn't very thick, but I wanted something that would blend naturally, thinking the 220 would be overkill. I ordered and waited anxiously for them to arrive, and I prepared by watching a lot of youtube tutorials on how to put them in. It only took a couple days (with free shipping) and when I finally got my extensions I was so excited! I felt pretty confident that I knew what I was doing after watching the videos, so I started putting them in my hair. (I tested the one piece first and part of me thought it was obvious which strand it was, and the other part of me thought it blended well with my color... come to realize later that it stood out to me because the ends were MUCH nicer than mine). Taking the rest of my luxies out of the box I was awestruck. The hair was soooo soft! I couldn't stop touching it. It was thick, I had more hair in my hand than I did on my head, and the ends didn't taper, it stayed thick throughout the whole strand, which I LOVE. (my ends suck). As I put the wefts in my hair I got more and more excited.. I HAD SO MUCH HAIR!!!! I was literally jumping up and down. I couldn't believe it. They matched absolutely perfectly with my hair. I was nervous after reading a lot of reviews that said the clips were broken when they got them or that they broke shortly after... yes my set came with 2 extra clips.. but none of mine were broken when I got them. I have been careful with them and they haven't broken at all. They work great.. they cling right to my hair and don't budge all day.
Downside: The 160g is heavy.. it's a lot of hair.. which is amazing... but after 6-8 hours I can definitely feel the weight and i'm ready to take them out. I'm so glad I didn't get the 220g. I am still struggling on getting all 10 wefts in my hair without them showing.. right now i'm averaging about 8. I don't know if it's because i'm doing it wrong of it's just that I have a smaller head?? I think i'll continue to get better at putting them in. I'm averaging maybe 5-7 minutes to put them in and maybe 3 to take them out. Good thing is that even my family and friends can't tell when i'm wearing them.. they blend that well into my hair, and when I had them feel how much hair I had they were in awe and asked where I got them.
I would definitely recommend Luxy Hair to anyone and everyone who wants to try extensions. Like I mentioned before, my hair is already really long (20in/down to my belly button), so I don't have any advice on how to blend it with shorter hair.. but there are tutorials online for that!! Again, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!”
