“I have been wearing my luxies for a few months now and have been really enjoying them. I have experimented with lots of different styles and have been able to incorporate them into my everyday hair routine easily; however, over time, they have lost a lot of their softness and tend to mat up by the end of the day. I can usually manage with a bit of shine serum to give them more slip, but I can tell that with time, they will become quite frizzy and knotted. Additionally, every time I wash them it seems like they bleed dye. I thought this would only happen the first few times I washed them but 4 months later it is still happening. The colour still seems rich but definitely lighter than when I reciveed them. Overall I am pretty happy with them.”

I'm glad to hear that you have been really enjoying your Chocolate Brown Luxies over the last few months, and that you have been able to incorporate them into many different hairstyles you have tried. That's great!
However, Natasha, I'm sorry to hear that they have lost some softness and are matting up. As a friendly reminder, the lifespan of our extensions is anywhere from 3-6 months to sometimes a year depending how often they are worn and the general care they receive. The more often they are worn, especially if it's everyday, the sooner they will need to be replaced - closer to the 3-4 month mark most likely.
Also, since extensions are not attached to your scalp naturally, this means that they are not getting so many natural oils and so, they do not need to be washed often; only about ever 15-20 wears if not longer. The more they are washed, the dryer they can become and the sooner they will need to be replaced. So please do keep this in mind.
Lastly Natasha, I'm sorry that your Luxies are still bleeding colour. I suggest to only shampoo them for about 30 seconds to a minute in lukewarm water and please use sulfate free products to be extra gentle on the hair. Try this next time they need to be washed and see if it makes a different in the amount of dye that bleeds from the hair :)
