“The hair was beautiful and thick and silky smooth but after the second wash, it dried up a bit and they do clump up after about 30 minutes of wear so I constantly have to brush them. They are great I just don’t think they’re worth the price.”

I am delighted to hear that your Luxies were beautiful, silky, thick and smooth upon receiving them. In regards to washing, we encourage you to be gentle with your set as it has undergone colour treatment. They don’t need to be washed very often, only about 15-20 wears or when there is major product build-up to the point where the hair becomes unmanageable. We also recommend to use alcohol and sulfate free hair products, as these ingredients can be very drying on the hair.
In order to ensure that your Luxies remain moisturized, nourished, and manageable to style, I recommend to deep condition them. This is a super easy and simple process - all you have to do is dampen your Luxies and apply a generous amount of sulfate-free and alcohol-free conditioner to the hair, and let it soak in the product overnight by placing it in a shower cap. In the morning, you can rinse the hair under lukewarm water and let it air dry on a towel. I'm positive you'll see a noticeable difference.

“I've been playing around with extensions for around 2 years, I've tried tape-ins and hot fusions, and I must say - the quality of my Luxies is by far the BEST. They are so thick and shiny and just feel overall SO luxurious. I got the 220g and honestly I could have probably gotten away with the 160g, but I do enjoy having those extra pieces to add in if I want even more thickness! “Something that I have noticed is that the hair extensions don't really hold the curls and also I have found some gray hairs in my extensions and when I wash the hair it smells horrible. But the hair extensions are really thick and soft the clips are very good quality , but I guess I had high expectations for almost 300 dollars that I paid, I'm also very critical about cutting the hair to blend it in to my collar bone length hair , I don't have much experience placing the hair extensions in my hair, I guess what I'm trying to say is I have mixed feelings”

I'm glad to hear that your new Luxies are thick and good quality. If you find that there are some opposite coloured gay hairs in the set, feel free to cut them out. There should only be one or two, if any, in each weft, and it will not impact the integrity of the weft at all.
To address the smell, hair extensions in general have a unique smell to them from the sanitizing and dying process they undergo in manufacturing. I've been using hair extensions for over 15 years myself, and they usually have the same smell even from different companies. You will notice that the smell dissipates the more they are washed and worn.
If you have short hair, dear Jessica, I strongly encourage you to have the hair custom cut into your hair for a more natural blend. You can also take off a few inches to make them look and feel more natural. If and when cutting the hair, I would suggest to number the back of the wefts in the order they are clipped in so that you can apply them the same way in the future.
