“I had heard such horror stories about hair extensions and various companies. I don't know anyone who has tried Luxy extensions yet I went for it after reading various reviews. I liked the option of having really thick extensions since I have super blunt, shorter than shoulder length hair.
I have owned them for just over 1 month. I haven't seen a single hair shed yet, they have been curled numerous times and it doesn't seem to affect them. The only mild drawback is a mild chemically smell, but it isn't strong. When I washed them (which I advise while attached to your head) they smelled much nicer afterwards. They are thick, appear well made, and I would definitely recommend. My annoyance so far has only been with duties (which technically isn't Luxy's fault but I paid over 75 dollars for duties!). Might be worth noting though, since that is a lot of money.
Anyways, I ended up cutting them way shorter to get to blend better. I had to thin the ends, they were so thick and blunt after cutting. My sister has hair extensions from another company that were more money and are probably 1/4 as thick. These are perfect, if I had long hair and they were used for volume I would actually think these are almost too thick for me! But for hiding short hair they work great. The color I received is a very chocolaty brown. Very pretty.”

I am delighted to hear that your Luxies haven't shed even after curling them numerous times. The scent that you are referring to may be the silicone coating that is applied to the hair at our manufacturing level to give the hair that extra gloss and shine. Not to worry, Danelle, upon washing your Luxies a few times, this coating will wear off along with any scent.
